I was on the way back from Canada and stopped by Ann Arbor on the way back to Chicago. Saw a blue FR-S on the road (waved to him) and then a white FR-S parked next to me in the lot of the REI there. Nice day of sightings!

Hey guys, I just picked up my '13 10 series frs last week, love it so far, no complaints whatsoever. I'm in the Bloomfield Hills/Auburn Hills area but often travel to Waterford/Clarkston and Utica/Shelby twp area. I go down to woodward almost every weekend too.
I've spotted two different orange ones around Clarkston in the past 2 weeks, not sure if they are on here or not though. |

I'm down in Temperance by Toledo, OH. A couple around my areas but I haven't tracked them to the forums yet.

That's pretty impressive, I can't even imagine thinking "I want to kayak today, I'll take the frs." Gotta give em props for making it work though I suppose, so we salute you "kayak on the roof of an frs" guy.

I've heard on the open track days they really pack the track. Some say they enjoy it like that others say they are always stuck in traffic and it's not worth it. I haven't been so I really don't know but if anyone has any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated.

They do indeed pack quite a few cars at the Waterford Track days, I agree. However, most people go home early, and the final sessions are quite wide open.
For the most track time, you really have to take a week day off work, and run with 3 balls racing. That is hands down the best group to run with, on any track. http://www.3ballsracing.com/ Waterfordhills this weekend is full for sure. I'll be running my Neon at Waterford Race weekend 2 next month, but I plan on racing all three days this weekend. Saturday: Running my Mr2 at the Rallycross in South Lyon (this is also full) Sunday: Running FR-S at the NWOR event at a site I've never been to, just north of Toledo. Plenty of spots available, register here: http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...event_id=14639 Monday Huge autocross at the Silverdome in Pontiac, hosted by Detroit SCCA. Registration is still open for this as well: http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/...verdome-920645 Car shows/meets aren't really my thing but if anyone is looking for some basic instruction, and wants to go along for a ride on one of my runs, I'm more than willing to help out. If you have an FR-S and have never done a trackday/autocross.....please take your car BACK to the dealership and trade it in for a Prius or a Volt, as you've been wasting your life. |
