Lol. Guess its all gonna depend on what colour you get.

It wont look bad in white as we all have already seen but on black and dark blue it will look terrible. Bring on the smoke vinyl!

I don't mind white gauges during the day but never like them at night.

With the shift light you won't need to pay attention to the needle anyways but I've always found black faces with amber/red lettering and needles to be easiest to read at night (red/amber backlight, white letters during the day).

If I wasn't posting from my iPad I'd put a link to my current cluster which I find easy to read day and night.
It looks like I'm not going to get the white tach after all, because I'll be ordering the base model.

Thanks for the tip on the shift light, it is a great feature!

I think the most fun rivals at the track will be the honda cars including the S-2000.

Cheers

I am going hi-spec...I want the hids, led accents, better brakes, steering wheel, the white tach, digital speedo/tach and better seats. Oh and push button start! All sports cars need that. Makes it look cool!

Nobody knows what the price difference between them is yet. In the states we might only get one trim level.

Remember the tC pretty much comes loaded.

Yeah it's how Scion does their vehicles, one package, one trim. I can see everything being standard but I think what will be "accessories at an extra cost" would probably be the HIDs and the push start.

I am still very curious as to the coefficient of drag, especially since they changed the windshield angle to improve visibility.

I will probably force myself to wait and see the Subaru version and specs sheet to compare.. My only hope is they both get released within a month or so of each other...
I asked a Toyota dealership back in winter about the FT86. Bloody dunderhead had no idea what it was. Subaru dealership enquiries here are not that much better. Might give another ask at the end of the month after the Tokyo motor show, then the staff at the dealerships will know what im asking about.

I don't think they will, but I think that the aftermarket will, I for one am getting a high trim model, blue, 6spd with the TRD areo, breaks, and braces. Coming from a supra I need to know that this thing handles well.

Could be, but if you look at the tC and its accessories list...there are no HIDs as an accessory. Push button start is also not an accessory, but part of the tC RS 7.0.

They could have a FR-S, and then a FR-S RS 1.0...which would include the push button start, HID and aluminum pedals. But hopefully all this is standard on the FR-S and the price is around $23K.....
