I thought I was the only one that saw it that way. That's why these two cars are my favorite cars under 40k. They both have RWD,2+2,Low slung sports car shape(sorry pony cars but your boxy/rectangle shape sucks to me), and sports seats but the biggest difference is size and weight and a boxer engine. So it makes sense that one has the edge on handling and the other has the edge on power.

sorry I meant to say, I had planned to lease the cars, and I was quoted for the same lease specs (miles per year, years, down payment etc) at $400/month for the 3.8 Track, and $430/month for a Subaru BRZ Premium, I mean I must say I like how the BRZ/FRS look on the exterior, and those who say the coupe doesn't handle well have you even driven one? The combination of the power and handling is insanely fun on long curvy roads

I went to test drive the BRZ and the dealership told me no test drives allowed if you want to buy it you can fill out the paperwork and than drive it..I was like lol no thanks, and went and got my genesis The BRZ/FRS have great exterior styling, but it just seems so bland and cheap on the inside, great for a small sports car, but imo all the gooides that come with the genesis pushed it over the top + the 350 HP engine |

I think both Genesis and FRS/BRZ are good cars in their own right. I also happen to like the 370z pretty well too. Its easy to fall for a car you like and mentally justify its short comings by trying to point out other car's weaknesses.
Instead you should do some research ahead of purchase for solutions to the weaknesses of each car. That's where these forums can be really useful. You can see what is out there for fixing the weak points of each car, cost, feedback from users, etc. while keeping in mind there are somethings you probably cannot change easily (such as physical size, basic layout of drivetrain) Then you can make an informed decision on purchase. |

The Genesis Coupe qualifies for Hyundai Circle Pricing. Which means you should be able to get one for well under invoice and a 3.8 RSPEC will be priced close to $27K.
A lot of car for the money for sure. |

Well if you're looking for luxurious comforts of coarse you have to get a bigger, less pure car, like the Gen. Great car no doubt, but the reviews always point to the Twins over the Gen. When the lack of power will be resolved (which will be very quickly) the Twins will be some scary cars.
Anyone remember those scary boosted S2K's? Light weight, great chasis and power means DAYUM Why? Because racecar

Wow... this comparison is pretty spot on as to my thoughts to the two cars.
At the end of the day both were great cars. Pre-test drive I wanted to buy the Genesis based purely on the interior (the interior of the genesis is really nice for its price range). However after the test drive it was clear I couldn't drive the Genesis coupe. The transmission was just iffy. I could not be comfortable driving that car in the MT. |

Im with you there...you can get the Rspec for 29.995 msrp but it doesent even have cruise control,i had a 2012 rspec and used the 90 day return rule....i liked it but i never loved it...and the 12 Rspec was 26.995 so it rose up 3k more. The new 1 does have a much better interior i hated the 12's and the shifter never felt right,i know the new 1 is better, but the front end killed it off my list,on the plus side i liked the steering feedback and it did feel very nimble for a car that size, its a great value although theres no reason in the world why the Rspec shouldnt have cruise,in the end it wasnt for me but i do respect my 3k miles i spent with it.
