I am confused..switching out your exhaust does nothing to the warranty of your car, or even your factory exhaust. Plus your new exhaust would have warranty.

Know what doesn't have warranty? My clutch. Upgraded one on its way!

yeah..you can modify your car without voiding your warranty of your vehicle.

Example - switch out your exhaust, your car is still under warranty, your factory exhaust is still warrantied sitting on the ground, should you choose to install it back on, your aftermarket exhaust is warrantied by X manufacture. Should you break something during installation, or due to the after market exhaust, that broken piece is not warrantied.

Makes sense

Things not to do if you are worried about warranty - Air intake, Tune, FI - that would void the warrant of your engine..kind of a big deal.

Exedy Stg 1. It can handle more torque than my AVO kit can through out in its current build. So it is perfect. Plus it was cheaper from a CDN seller than it was from any american seller. That is quite the deal!

You're right, swapping exhaust won't void any warranty, however, the components of the exhaust would not be warrantied by Toyota Canada. The question here, and correct me if I'm wrong, was whether or not Toyota would warranty an exhaust that was not a CDM/USDM part. Because it is not available for purchase in N.A., there would be no way for us to replace those components under warranty.

Basically, as far as Scion is concerned, as long as your modifications don't put excess stress or cause other component failure, we will still cover it under warranty. Obviously boosting your vehicle will cause an OEM clutch to fail over a shorter period of time. Scion is pretty lenient that way, though.

Yeah... I was told to not even bother bringing my car in to the Regina dealership, they said they could check, but clutches are heavily scrutinized (plus they are a wearable part) It is pretty sad that my clutch gave out within 3-4 months of boosted driving at less than 7PSI. I am sure my clutch would have crapped out NA sooner rather than later.

Ya, it's really difficult to get any manufacturer to warranty a clutch regardless of modifications... They just assume everybody roasts the sh** out of them...

I'm not to worried at this point seems like Toyota/scion is decent to deal with on mods. I'm just used to " you have a cold air we can't warranty your heated seat not working"
