I ordered my TRD Sound Changer from them. It took them about two weeks to ship it out, but this was stated in their website so it was okay. Some items are readily available and they will ship out faster.

Once I got the tracking number, it took about 4 days to arrive via EMS. For this particular package, it was sent directly to our house.

Be aware though that with EMS, DHL, UPS or FedEx, these scumbags will charge you import taxes, duties, and "storage fees" along with VAT and AD Valorem tax. No way around it unless you know somebody from Customs. Heck, I paid 600 pesos for "Physical Entry Form", "Import processing fee", customs doc stamp and VAT. for my 4 pcs hubcentric rings shipped from Japan via DHL. 600 pesos for 4 rings in an envelope. WTF.

Never use Fedex, EMS, DHL or UPS. Unfortunately, most Japan vendors only ship using EMS or DHL.

My advice, buy parts from local vendors if they are available. The price difference will not be that much after you pay taxes and duties. If the item you want is not available lovally, buy parts from US vendors and use a freight forwarder like Johnny Air or a balikbayan box forwarder.

I'd rather buy from the US and pay a little more compared to Japanparts.com prices than waste my hard earned money on ridiculous taxes that will just benefit our corrupt politicians.

@Martinnangel, i know someone who can take orders from Japan.. i got all of my Tom's parts from him, way cheaper than vendors here since he just add little to my orders.. he brings in parts for himself din kasi so at least shipping the items here comes cheaper for him since maraming kasabay

if you have any parts in mind lalo na small ones (like tail lights), he can take orders until Jan 26 then it will take about a month daw to get here since some items takes time to be delivered to him upon ordering it from vendors then plus shipping it to Manila.. i can get you a quote from him if you want, just PM me if ever

Thumbs up

@HRTROB that is crazy!! Those rings can fit in a pouch and thats 600 pesos already?? What more for tail lamps or stabilizer bars?? Thanks for the info though. Will keep your advice in mind. Might go local if ever.

By the way, how much was the total cost for the sound changers, if you don't mind?

I recently went to Tokyo and got me some goodies at SuperAutobacs. One of them is an HKS air filter. My question is my 86 only has about less than 500 km on it. Do I wait to change the stock filter in the future or its better that I use the HKS now? Thanks.
