Congrats on buying your BRZ! It's such a fantastic car. Even NA it's enjoyable to drive in just about any case. As an example, the only time so far in 14 months of ownership that I finally seriously noticed the "underpowered" argument was on the track last week when I'd be neck and neck with somebody and then in the straight sections they'd just leave me in the dust, lol. But in the corners I was quicker than many other cars! Plus I just enjoy driving it anywhere, backroads and commuting, even.

I'm really glad I took the risk in buying it without knowing how to drive MT first. Fortunately the process wasn't too difficult other than the first week or so.

If you have any questions feel free to ask! I also followed you back on IG!

I agree! NA still packs a punch. I have little to no interest in FI on this one. Most of the mods you’ve done so far are the mods I am planning to do actually.

And yeah you’re right the first day and first week are the hardest. My cabin smelled like burnt clutch every day lool

That last pic says it all: Leading the pack!

Can't wait to get out there with ya!
Thanks! Yeah, having the figure 8 setup beforehand was nice especially because it let me get a good feel for the tires' grip on tight turns and how the traction control would influence the movement.

Yep! I opted for the coach because I'd heard that's how it works for Class A and figured if I was going I might as well get some instruction from the get-go. I _think_ Hooked on Driving requires that you do one track day with an instructor if you've never done an event with them in the past, but I could be wrong.

Haha definitely in that pic!

Let's try and get to a track day soon! Gotta test out your new brakes!

Ordered and received a set of RCE Yellows a few months ago and they've been sitting ever since, and I just picked up a set of SPL Rear Lower Control Arms.

Good news: getting both installed Friday, finally. Can't wait to test out how it feels!

Day to day they ride better than stock, and they're more predictable/balanced at the limit as well. It's a win-win.

Those side profile shots perfectly show off the subtle yet noticeable 20mm drop from the Yellows. Dare I say it looks like it should have come like this from the factory!?

The 3/4" drop is perfect IMO to maintain everyday driveability but at the same time look like a lowered vehicle. At least to other twin owners with a sharp eye!

I bet you're already used to the drop. But just go look at some of your earlier photos and check out that huge rear wheel gap!

Thanks Andrew! Hoping to get my alignment done this week so I can test the Yellows out on a fun drive through the hills!

Went to Elite Performance in Burlingame yesterday for an alignment now that the Yellows have settled.

End results:

I'd honestly be lying if I said I understand all the numbers on that sheet, but I don't, lol.

What I do know/understand is the front/rear camber, which are now -1.6 and -1.4 respectively.

I used SPC camber bolts on the front so I'd be able to dial it in more. Bolts had been one of the top recommendations from guys for almost as long as I've had the car, so it'll be interesting to see how more negative camber in front improves handling.

I wanted to do a good shakedown of the new suspension this morning but sadly the weather didn't really cooperate like I had hoped. It was pretty damp with the fog layer being dense enough to cause trees to drip water drops like rain.

I'll have to drive La Honda in another weekend or two to really test out the springs and alignment.

I'm just building a young Frankenstein of a car. Don't mind me.
