Oh well, I'll just be a hermit at home and potato it up for the rest of the week... if it stays at the dealership for that long.
Dealer had mine for a month. Had to get a regional technician from 6 hours away to cone work on it... for 2 weeks

They somehow put 100 miles on it too. Guess they were thoroughly testing it before they returned it

Fucking hell.

If they still have it come Thursday night, I'll ask them for a loaner.

Here's a good question for everyone... Why is my AC compressor inclined to NOT turn on when the AC is turned on AFTER the car is started? 95% of the time that the fan is "on"when I start the car it comes on fine. 75% of the time the fan is "off" when starting, the compressor refuses to kick on.

One would think they would just replace the whole sending unit and be done with it (unless there is a short in the line).

Is it the compressor itself is not kicking in or is it the fan is not turning on .. ??

Maybe it's like your home central A/C .... the compressor starts up but the circulating fan will not come on until the coils are cold .......

Dunno, I don't hear the click of the compressor clutch and it won't blow cold, even after an hours drive. If you turn it off, turn the fan to anything but of and restart the car it will blow cold right away

You might have someone cycle the A/C while you look at the compressor clutch to see if it is engaging.

Then you might take a drive with the A/C ON and if it's not blowing cold air, pull over and look and see if the compressor clutch is engaged.

If the system is low on "gas", sometimes they can get finicky. You might consider having that checked.

That's all the "guesses" I have for now ......

It's been filled twice and still does it. Compressor clutch doesn't engage

Filled twice? Pressure tested? An over pressurized compressor will do all sorts of weird and wonderful things including stopping and starting as it pleases.
