Mines on the passenger side, check out the thread I mentioned on the post above yours. It's my install thread and I have a lot of detailed pictures.

Overdoing it will have the same effect. It is a low pressure system on the drain side (and coolant side really...) so you don't need torque so much, but a broad clean surface for the gasket maker to stick to and not lift off.
Thanks Mike, I'm going nuts with this. I'm talking with JDL sicnr the turbo is still under warranty t see if anything could be done. I'm taking off the turbo and this ahould allow me to clean things and reinstall the flange outside, seal it right and then reinstall as the access with the turbo on is a pain. Thanks for your feedback.

Yeah I checked your thread (a few times) but wanted to confirm just in case. Mine is on the other side. Weird.

Yup, I think that's a good idea. Let that cure real good and use the super high temp silicone since that cartridge does get hot and lots of radiant heat from the turbine housing. Ronnie & Jessie should be able to walk you through the best method of sealing that sucker up.

Not sure why they changed the location though. Weird.

I was using the Toyota form in place oil pan sealant. Seems to stand the temps but I'll look into something for high temps spicifically. Thanks

@drambo136

Check out this thread, first post you'll see a few good pics of the cutting areas and how to mount. Notice the crash beam on the passenger side has a square hole right in front of the intercooler coupler, I had to cut this open to reach the nut for the bolt secure the intercooler mounting tab, the driver side already has access.

Nah I wish I would have done so. The JDL bar mounts the intercooler right up without issues.

Last question from me then mine is done. How did you mount your oil feed? I tried looking through your pics but couldn't quite see how you did it. It looks like you might have tee'd into another sensor? Map used a port on the top. I didn't get anything but an oil line. So I'm probably going to have to pick up some additional hardware.

Edit: looking at my pack slip I should have gotten more hardware for the oil line. So tee'd off a sensor is the right way.

Cute lil intercooler.

And my bov is definitely on the other side to yours. The paint is only on one side and its facing out. So it has to be right. Which again is weird because every turbo kit I've ever built or installed try to get it closer to the throttle plate. This move is opposite.

Thats odd. I'm using a precision turbo but I'm sure they make the adapters and include them for all their kits( i could be mistaken) but definitely give them a call, something has to be missing. It's a T that feeds off the engine oil light sensor, you plug the T in to the original port, the sensor goes on the bottom port of the T and the top port goes to the feed line. See below.
