Yes with map switching you wont get that throttle lag, but if you follow correct steps after a flash you can minimize it. I very rarely get it any more.

I was considering ecutek for map switching until i found out a map switching issue that killed it for me

It does not remember the last map you were on when you turn car off. So each time you startup you have to remember to switch to correct map as it defaults to map 1.

So if you had an 91/93/E40/E85 map switch tune and were running say E85 you have to switch it to map 4 each startup. Yes ok if your the only one who ever drives car but wife/girlfriend/mate is never going to remember or know, or if you took it for service or repair somewhere.

apparently their is some weird startup proceedure you can do to make it go to last map but they are not going to remember to do that either on every startup.

Interesting. Good to know of that limitation. I wouldn't like that much because I'd forget to swap to the right map if I shut the car off between runs at autocross or whatever.

Also, about the throttle issue... I've followed your procedure for that and it's a tiny bit better, but the first 1/4" of pedal travel is still dead for about two weeks.

I'm so tempted to start running E85 now that I have a second vehicle but there aren't many stations I my area that offer it.

Just google "e85" and some of them should pop-up. Here in Dallas you normally only find them outside the city.

I ran my second tank of e85 on my car recently, I noticed that my the mpg readings were around 30mpg running uel stage 2 tune for e85 but when I switched back to running 91(stage2 uel tune), my mpg went down to 17mpg. Shouldn't the readings be backwards?

Are you taking the numbers from the dash?

The dash numbers are known to be about 30% off when using E85 due to the way it calculates fuel economy and the way the mapping is changed to handle E85.

I got 216 miles out of my first tank of E85 and filled up with another 10 gallons, so averaging 21.6 miles so far with 70% hwy/30% city driving. Got about 25-26 mpg with regular 91 gas before.

I'm getting an average of 19 on E85. Was getting low twenties on 93. Mostly city

There isn't, and I wouldn't hold your breath for one. For this reason I'm ditching OFT and going with EcuTek.

ST-Autosport (Belgium) has almost finished his JRSC OFT tune. Just some tweaking left.

And also, Shiv can only make such kind of tunes when he has a car with those mods on his dyno. If somebody supply the car with the JRSC then you (and the rest of the world) will have a tune for it.
