The tyres look so much wider than the OEMs.

Custom Muffler Delete Pipe

Bought a couple exhaust pipes and a coworker helped me build and install a muffler delete track pipe.

It's got a nice, deep growl to it. Sounds amazing in 1st gear.

If you're in the TN region and interested in one, let me know!

Installed Valenti Euro Winker relay. Install was a freaking pain in the ass, couldn't get that original relay out. Was seconds from going mad and brute-forcing the old one.

They feel like brakes. Any real change in feel is down to pad choice and tires. I got this kit due to its higher heat capacity and thicker brake pads. In theory, it will pay for itself after a lot of track use.

Wheels are Enkei NT03+M in limited edition SBC finish. 18x9.5 +40, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports 245/35/18 all around, finished off with some Project Kics NeoChrome R26 lugs. Sitting on ST-X coil-overs by KW.

Unfortunately they might be for sale soon, they won't clear my Brembo GT BBKs.

It's okay; they're frequently misunderstood. Lots of people think BBK = more stopping power, but that's not really the case in most situations. If your stock brakes can hit ABS, then they have enough stoppingpower--the limiting factor is the tire, not the brakes. Stickier tire = shorter stopping distance.

The natural first upgrade for performance use is some better brake pads and fluid. "Better" in this case means they have a higher operating temperature and can take more abuse before they fade/boil. With street tires, on most tracks, the OEM brake calipers with good track pads will be sufficient.

The primary reasons to upgrade to a BBK are heat capacity, pad availability, longevity, weight, and decreased caliper flex. For instance, the AP sprint kit caliper is much stronger and more rigid than the OEM calipers. It also accepts larger and thicker pads, meaning they'll last longer. The rotors are vented more for better cooling. And because the rotors are two-piece, the hat can be made of aluminum instead of iron, saving lots of weight.

edit: there are street-appropriate pads that have a higher initial bite than the OEM pads. Something like that might provide the sort of feel you're looking for. Not sure what pads would do the trick, though.

Just to add to what kch said, which is all good info. Especially about the tire being the most important part.

I did notice the AP brakes seem to have better clamping power over the stock calipers (not necessarily the same as stopping power). Or, it could be a combination of the caliper and SS brake lines providing improved feel and feedback. But, there is definitely an improved feel in the pedal under hard braking, like the calipers are squeezing a lot harder than the stock calipers (I am using the same type of brake pad and same tires as when they were stock).

I went from stock brakes --> SS lines --> pads --> rotors --> to a BBK

The biggest change is the ability to deal with heat which equates to braking power (ability). My current set up (RR-racing stage II) is not up there like the AP Racing kit but its cost effective and is a massive improvement over stock for the trackday pounding it gets.

Not sure I would have gone down the same route for street use.

After waiting for over a month, the car was finally picked up and is on its way to FullBlown Motorsports. I had to call another transport company and cancel with the other one because they weren't doing anything. Luckily I got a full refund. Car will return in about a month.
