I was thinking the price would've been about $500 higher but Subaru priced this car right.

Price difference isn't worth it to me. Not sure where you are getting your numbers from but not many car companies charge 1000$ for HIDs. Maybe BMW charges that much but they are a 400$ option on a Dodge. Even cheaper for housing + bulbs if you go after market.

Navigation is also pretty pointless now a days in cars.

Your cell phone probably has better maps, better directions, traffic integration, and free software updates.

Subjective? Who in their right mind would choose halogen over HIDs?

Have you not followed the BRZ? Ordering went live a solid month ago (2 months?). Dealers are getting their allocation spread out between May and November - so even if they had one spot left, you wouldn't get the car until November. And BRZ are to be much fewer available than FRS.

Some HIDs actually look pretty crappy, especially with the trendy LED strip. I prefer the subtle yellow/blue HIDs. The ones that are super blue look bad in my opinion.

Ordering opened March 1st...about a month ago. Nonetheless, if you didnt get your name on a last that week you are probably screwed till Xmas.

Congratulation guys over the pond
I've never seen you all so happy with being grumpy and the famous words
" I'm outa here "" on every thread

Great price wish we could convert it to English pounds and make it 18k
It will probably be 27-29k in good old rip off uk

Never mind it will make me smile when I get one eventually

My dealer promised MSRP and I trust they will hold to that. That's about $1500 more than I hoped, but I'll pay it...and now the waiting begins.
Don't forget the reg/plates ($100 transfer or $125 new) and markup that SoNE will likely charge. They should release their pricing in a few days. Supposedly it's another $1-300

Here's my MA math (without SoNE increase calculated):

$28,245 Limited 6MT after dest.
$1,765.21 tax (6.25%)
$125 registration/new plates
~$300 doc fee

Total: $30,435.21, or exactly what I expected, thankfully!

Yes.. there is sarcasm in the above. For me, the ugly FR-S headlights that stick out past the bumper skin mixed with the ugly red accents and white tach meant I could never buy a FR-S anyways... well not without spending more swapping all that stuff out.

I like the white tach and not that flat bland look the Subie has. The Premium Seat material is the same as the FR-S. Only the Limited has different seats. The Red inserts on the seats, maybe I'm mistaken but last I recall is you didn't have to have those.

The FR-S front end > BRZ front end so....again don't see Scion getting hosed in any way here.

Trunk Liner? Really....

It's the sides that wear on seats, when you enter and exit your vehicle.

Yes, some prices weren't there but most were I thought?

Spoilers.. maybe factory. Foglights are often dealer/port installed.

"FR-S" has that pesky hyphen. "BRZ" much cleaner. Obvious WIN.

Depends on what you consider nicer. There are two cloth interiors, which in Japan are called the Low grade and high grade cloth interiors. The BRZ Premium gets the high, the FR-S gets the low. Therefore, one would assume the high is better.

Also, the BRZ lacks the (IMO) ugly red accents (although after a few years they'll be pink which seems Subaru/STI friendly ) and has the black tach instead of the white, which I also think looks much better (so does Toyota as their expensive version has the black tach also).

+1 combined with the other missing interior goodies the limited has
