If my tracking info is accurate I should be getting the rest of my exhaust tomorrow. So to get a head start I went ahead and removed the dinky stock axle back and mid

They can definitely redesign the top bracket for an NA approach but as mentioned in the other thread, they really only thought about their turbo customers when they designed the parts and we don't have the stock intake so there were no fit concerns.

Hopefully the exhaust will be waiting at my doorstep when I get home. But yes, it will be going on today as long as it shows up.

Also in the box of goodies from the guys over at Nameless,

Intake tube for my Innovate supercharger.

And a set of their, don't know if prototype is the right word, but not yet released, lateral bars.

A big thanks to @Ryan@Nameless for putting up with my excessive calling and all the help he provided.

Didn't see this post before, sorry. I would agree with you, but I don't. Even with the intake removed, it still sits at a funky angle. Unless I have it installed wrong, but I don't think I do. Here are more pics for reference.

This is how far off the factory intake is. Not too bad. Had to be moved minimally.

With the intake removed, this is the angle the bracket sits at to hold the overflow tank.

Better view of how far out the hose sits.

Bracket sits flush with the tank here.

This is the overflow tank sitting flat and level on the lower bracket. You can see how far off the top bracket is.

This is where I have the lower bracket mounted.

So again, unless I have something mounted incorrectly, with or without a turbo it could still be better designed.

I also purchased all 5 exhaust hangers from Nameless as well. When removing the factory exhaust hangers I've seen where people say to use a lubricant spray of some sort to help with ease of removal and again with installing new ones. I didn't have any "normal" lubricant spray so I improvised.

Kind of ghetto I know but it actually worked great, lol.

It is a simple L bracket. I wouldn't call it a funky angle. It is the angle required to utilize that hole and a simple L bracket. It held my coolant overflow bottle just fine. The overflow bottle has no requirement to be perfectly level. I do agree that they could spend some more money and make a perfect awesome looking bracket out of a solid chunk of billet aluminum that would mount it better though. I actually installed mine under the radiator core support at an equally funky angle:

@King Tut

I still stand by my opinion but opinions will vary of course. I understand it is a simple L bracket design and it can only do so much but I wouldn't be content putting what I consider a substandard piece of hardware in an otherwise fantastic setup. The bottom bracket does it's job perfectly. It could be more aesthetically pleasing but it functions as well as any other would and that suits me just fine. The top needs to be more than a simple L bracket. If that means the cost goes up a little, I would happily pay the difference. Again, just my preference and my opinion, but I stand by it.

On a side note, I'm sure you've posted this before but I never read it anywhere, why did you get rid of your car?

The short answer is boredom. I was pretty much finished modifying the car, and I was ready to move on to something else when the opportunity to purchase the rare M3 I own now presented itself.

Just purchased my tune from @DeliciousTuning. Hopefully I will have everything for my supercharger installed in the coming weeks.
