Thank you, my friend.

When I first stopped drinking, I wondered how I'd live without booze.
After a while I couldn't imagine living with it !

Ya, I hear that!

Before I quit drinking my "life" revolved around that bottle of whisky. It was my "best friend", but, it was killing me.

Now, when I do something stupid, I have no excuse -

CONGRATULATIONS - you have passed the hardest part - admitting you have a drinking problem -

Asking your higher power for help is a good second step.

Now, I suggest you attend AA meetings.

I second that.
We can do things together, that we never thought possible on our own.
As the Comedian Red Green used to say " I'm pulling for Ya, we're all in this together !"

What a great life.
Just got back from a 3 day 1500 KM road trip thru Washington Cascades (Hwys I-5, 20,21) and BC (Hwys 3,3A,6,97,1,99) with the Mrs.
Some great drives (barring those pesky Motorhomes) and super scenery !
The Mrs only flinched a few times, as I was passing slower vehicles.
(Thank you Edelbrock for making a blower for our cars, and Zach at Counterspace for the custom tune)

We wouldn't have done this if I wasn't sober.

Sounds like a great trip!

Yep, it's amazing how many things you remember when you are sober.

The only downside on being sober, is that when you do something stupid, you have no excuse -
