Probably single motor with linkage. Although I know of a 4-8 individual controller so you can tune each butterfly perfectly

Good luck, I will keep watch on your project. I've never done it myself but everyone I know that has done ITBs spends more time balancing them than fabricating the setup.

I would personally like the singe actuator and linkage. I think that would look much cooler.

To be fair with his design, he had the idea right... just not the actual product quality. Cuz if you look at like AP, HKS, Edelbrock & few other company do make kinda like that design.
