There is also rear fog etiquette that a few people have mentioned in this thread as well. You should only be using this light in inclement weather to help drivers behind you gauge their distance from you. That's the only use for the light. It's not a 4th brake light. You already have 3 brake lights, you don't need 4. If you think you need a flashing "F1 style" 4th brake light on public streets because people behind you keep tailgating you and you are slamming on your brakes at every traffic light, you probably need to reevaluate your driving style instead.
f1 brakes don't actually flash. the reason why they flash is because of the cameras recording them. ever point a video camera at a tv screen? more or less the same concept.

(Did a search for "rocker" in posts before the date I posted mine above. Can't believe I found it.)

Would it be possible to tap into the front fog light power and run a cable back to the rear fog light? This way you could turn both on or off at the same time.

Yes. Will most likely just require a relay and just pull up the carpet to run the cord non ghetto, like running it underneath the car hanging down lol

As for paying for this mod if you have a drill and krimpers and a leatherman you can do this mod in about 30-45 minutes taking your time for the low cost of 1 turn signal socket and one bulb normal or LED. Your choice.

I used two sockets and red 4 light LEDs. It is wired to be on with the parking lights and head lights and the second socket lights up when the breaks are pushed to match the brightness of the break lights. Even with both only took me about 30 minutes but i have 10 gallon compressor and every tool you can imagine (own a performance shop that is about to move to PA and build a brand new building with mustang dyno 4 lifts, one flat bay, and a show room).

Do it right and cut the holes for perfect fit and you don't have to worry about condensation.....kind of like the factory tail lights

This is something I was interested in, as I've observed inattentive drivers will not notice the car in front rapidly decelerating due to a change in traffic pattern and have to slam the brakes at the last minute due to texting, applying makeup, etc.

**And I know this thread was dying, but I didn't want to open a new one when the topic had already started to be discussed.

Umm, maybe in other places in the world they call that a fog light - and maybe in EU or JP, they use a H11 bulb, but almost everyone here is using the same light source.. but, sorry I don't think using this bulb really makes this a 'real' rear-facing fog lamp... definitely not worth the trouble of turning on and off... just saying.
