I've been looking for one, but I couldn't find any. "S-TT-0042-12" technically is a "tech tip" and not "service bulletin", and maybe that's why no PDF is released. I'm thinking the only thing you can bring to them now is the Subaru version of TSB. 12-131-12

If I find it someday, I'll be sure to update the first post.

Anyone in LA get the GPS fix? If so, which dealership? The dealership I went to in Sacramento wasn't able to do it because they said they didn't have the bracket or whatever.

Mine are off a little too, I thought it was from curb hopping at the drive through!

If the last 5 digits of your VIN is higher, then the TSB does not apply to your car. But warranty still applies.

For the cricket noise, I believe, even if the TSB applies and the replacement is done, the cricket still will come back after a while. So, I'm guessing the same thing for the cars with VIN higher than the TSB. They would make the noise just like the cars with replaced HPFP.

So, I'm having what I believe is the idle issue (idle sits at about 6-700 rpm, drops to 500, car shudders like it's going to stall, and then recovers) but no CEL's or anything. I've taken it to my dealership multiple times, and I've been told there's nothing they can do. Is TSB 02-132-12 the correct one to refer to? I'm getting tired of being told "Subaru is investigating, maybe they'll issue a recall or bulletin later." if there is already a bulletin out there.

I've had thing issue since I bought the car in July of '12. It's always a little worse when the motor is cold and almost disappears when the motor is fully warmed up. I've been putting off taking the car in because I don't trust the dealership to do the job right and don't want any new issues on top of the old ones. Lately, I've been thinking of taking the car in to get all the issues done at once. Still thinking...

This happens with my FRS -- IF -- I have the "HVAC" set to mix of Air and Front Defrost (~2:00 position on the left-side rotary dial). I'm guessing this due to the air-con pump kicking in to assist with defrost.

I'm taking mine in on Friday to have them check this out. What you're describing is spot-on with what I'm experiencing and it's a little un-nerving b/c it does feel like the engine is about to stall.

Stay tuned.... will report back what the dealer says...

The difference with mine is that nothing is on. No A/C or heater. Nothing. I've always felt like either the alternator is very weak on this car or there is something wrong with the ECU and what it's telling the motor to do.

If this were an old carburated motor I'd say the motor is being starved of gas when I brake and all the gas goes to the to one side of the float bowl, but this ISN'T a carburated motor!
