Yea. Well, it makes sense. He's running 93, I'm running E85. I can run a bit more timing advance on the E85 well before the Centri makes any kind of pressure.

Nice one, but you shouldn't make fun of the poor dude, it must suck to be a mile high and have only 91 octane.

So 1K or 5K to make very similar amount of power.. I'm appalled!

Well, I've been telling people about that for a while... Most people just called me a troll and ignored me. Oh well. The SC kit will get a bit better gas mileage. There's no worry of developing condensation in the lines (a concern with E85). We still don't know if the E85 will eat the 86's fuel lines or not. 91 octane is offered everywhere. Also, he's running the "winter-blend" of 91 right now. During the summer, he'd probably hit 215 ish or so. But on the other hand, E85 is cheaper. It's also easier to swap out when you want to bring the car in for service. But yea, it is a bit overpriced. I would be more interested once they run a smaller pulley and a wastegate, so they can get more low-mid range. For my driving, I spend more time below 5500 than above it. |

Hey, it's all good right? You got the car you want, with the kit you want, and make some power with it. Don't forget that you're also on winter-blend gas, so you'd probably see a couple more ponies come summer time

He is down ~30-40 HP due to elevation and fuel. Have you ever gone from sea level to 5000 ft elevation? I have and it feels like your missing a few cylinders. It is just nonesense. That graph doesn't tell us anything. Dyno's can be used for comparisons if conditions are similar. |

Skatery said his dyno numbers were corrected and that another car made 160whp on that dyno stock (after correction) so it seems like they have it tuned pretty well for the location. |

What you are saying is correct as far as how the same car feels at sea level compared to 1K miles above sea levels. BUT, Dyno numbers have a correction factor and the only purpose of that is to eliminate environmental factors and standarize them.

It's up to the shop to tune their dyno to read correctly. That's the entire point of a dyno... to provide a means of power comparison regardless of place or environment condition.

I am going to hold judgement since there is no baseline run for his car on that dyno. I'll be dynoing my own kit in a few weeks, those are the figures I am interested in. I am near sea level and have 93 at every station.
