Spotted Silver 86 on Rooihuiskraal North heading towards Mall@Reds at 9am this morning. Anyone here?

This is one of those cars that it doesn't matter how many videos or photos you have seen nothing beats spotting the real thing on the road.

Got confirmation on Monday that mine is on the back of a truck making it's way up from Durban to Midrand. Should be here latest Friday but my hopes are set on today or tomorrow.

Cool! Friends of mine also spotted on on Rooihuiskraal ave last Saturday, I think they said it was silver. I agree, it does have a presence on the road and pics can't really show just how low it sits.

Cool, just remember that it probably still needs to have PDI done, etc. I'm assuming you'll be registering it in January? It would be a waste registering it as a 2012 model now.

Can't be worse than the longest couple of weeks that has passed.

Haha true but it's worse when you know it's there. I saw mine the first time just after it landed in Joburg and it was still all wrapped up with the factory stickers on the windows.

Haha well I only got a WEEK after that so you can imagine how long that felt. Eish!

Patience is not one of my virtues.

Now we know why your VPS was so cheap, you left the factory stickers on....

ROTFLOL!!!

Don't joke though, it leaves a small strip of glue residue on the edges after it's removed. I had the car for less than a week when this annoying woman at work asked me if I knew my car had a scratch.

1)If there was even a tiny mark on the car I would have known about it
2)It's glue residue you dumbass!
3)Tsek

Even after explaining what it was she was still convinced that it was a scratch and that I got screwed over on a brand new car. Eish!

I'm sure she's got some other dumb theory now that I've gotten rid of all the residue.

Would you recommend them leaving the stickers and covers on (which I requested) or to have it prepped and washed by the dealer. My concern was that I would receive a brand new car with swirl marks. Or am I just overly concerned considering this is my first new car.

Was planning on following the advice on paint care on the forum to try and keep the paint in mint condition for as long as possible. Especially considering I am planning on getting VPS.

Nehoo, getting a bit offtopic. sorry for that...
