On the step shown on first page where you click apply license update. When I do that step it won't find a file to find and update. No clue why.
Not sure if it's related or not but John posted a few pages back that the Licence gets lost during revovery. If you email him your logfile, he can reset your licence

I have limited info so please limit the questions.

Ill keep you updated.. I should know more by early AM.

So to be clear, I don't care what version of ProECU or what version tune file you have PLEASE do NOT flash your car.

Thanks

btw, once we get the tune and flash the car, are we supposed to log some data and send it back to John? or is it kinda like an universal tune that should be good enough for most car? thanks

I guess it's a good thing I haven't received a new tune with the RaceRom stuff. I cannot believe I actually said that... hehe.

So the flat foot shifting, is it cutting spark, or spark and fuel? How is it controlled?

No clue.

Remoted with John and he applied the tune to my ECU. Precentage went all the way to 100% but it came up as error afterwards we couldn't even see the ECU with the cable. So I took my ECU out just moments ago thanks to @Hawaiian great DIY

John's the expert I was just a witness or innocent bystander if you will

Also what does the rev limiter on the launch control use. I assume the same?

Do a log, and take a look at your log data table max / min values. If your knock correction min is in the mid -3.x to -4.x range I would contact him about it. Also check to see if your VVT intake angle mins are negative, shows that you idled on first startup after flash long enough (5-10 secs) for your cams to engage. I also do a full throttle pull through a gear and look for afr at high rpm under full throttle to be below 12.5. After that I feel cozy if it sounds / feels good. My .02 that's what I do after new flashes.

Is it possible to send out a rom without mapping and RaceRom? Just the basic STG1 tune that no one seemed to have problems with? I would be happy with just that right now.

Thoughts?

Map 1 - Tune + 8000RPM Rev Limiter in 2nd Gear ONLY
Map 2 - Tune + 8000RPM Rev Limiter in 2nd Gear + Launch Control
Map 3 - Tune + 8000RPM Rev Limiter in 2nd Gear + Launch Control + Flat Foot Shifting + A/F Reading
Map 4 - Tune + 8000RPM Rev Limiter in 2nd Gear + Launch Control + Flat Foot Shifting + Fuel Tank % +AutoBlip

Let me know if you have any problems
I have this GOOFY CRAZY idea.. For most of us "cold weather guys" that see snow 4+ months out of the year, How about a "snow map" a de-tuned first or second gear to keep us from blowing through first and losing traction whenever we are at a complete stop.

I know... Getting your tuner to under-tune a map... silly right?
