John told me it didn't make any power with a tune. I think intakes only free up the same power that a tune does. Until you start getting up near 200whp where it finally seems to make a difference, albeit a little one.

Looks like a solid 3-4 horsepower across the board Pardon me for not knowing, but what does the intake cost? Are we looking at $50/HP?

I'm not sure what the final resting retail will be. I was a pre-order. But yea, sounds about right.

Great info and thanks for posting results. Gonna be a drop in filter and switchable tune for me. Thanks again!

I have an afe intake and agency power cat back installed and defiantly feel an improvement. So maybe intake with muffler may be worth it. We are going in Monday for a dyno to see if anything was really gained. ill put up stock run, muffler run, and muffler intake combo run.

random question about ECU resets --- but do you normally need to do that also if you replace the catback exhaust too ? i never heard of anyone saying it needed it -- just wondering why it needs it for the intake... (esp since im considering the Greddy....)

thanks

The intake should be reset because the MAP sensor will now be getting more airflow, so it's good to reset it so it gets brand new readings.

No need for the Catback, since you are replacing exhaust that has no sensor associated with it.

I'm asking what the numbers and data is for the various intakes you're testing including the AIRAID one are with the STOCK ECU TUNE before the Visconti flashes and tunes. At least that's what your thread might have suggested ~ "AIRAID vs aFe vs Stock shoot out"

Great info, but did it (AIRAID) loose power like our tests showed in the STOCK form?

I posted on the first page that I didn't get to test the AIRAID because John left his on Prime's car. I returned mine two weeks ago, still waiting on my refund too. I can guarantee AIRAID would lose power on my car since the car wouldn't go anywhere under 2 grand. LOL

So, all in all, is it beneficial on the stock tune with just a drop in filter to ditch the snorkel?
