Not a big fan of those oem altezzas and damn I wish they kept it black housing. The tails looks nice and the roof in pics. Negative on that vinyl gas door and the emblems but to each their own. Just don't overdoit! =)

Let the people hate all they want, I like the car, and you doing what you can to make it unique. The roof, I love! And I plan on redding my taillights so I don't mind yours being nightshaded. The emblems, I say steal someones toyota emblems and swamp em out also, order a Beat Sonic Shark Fin instead of the stock one :p ignore the haters and do what you can with what ya got. It's your baby not theirs, unless they offer to pay child support.

I'm no expert on mods or anything of the sort. I'm not even close to understanding everything it entails. But I will tell you this, my opinion of ricing is over-sized mufflers that are way too loud and annoying, decals, and other over-the-top "go fast" mods done by people who say dude way too much. All the mods done on this car appear to be quite tastefully done and skillfully handled. The car looks good. The mods look good. I don't see a single thing rice about it. Then again, like I said, I can't define it for you. That's just how I see it, but I think that's all that matters. Good on night rider. I hope to see even more.

The only thing that really bothered me was that you cut the springs...Jesus, people still do that?! Sure, all the comestic stuff you did--thats all good and well. But cutting springs just makes you a road hazard. Even if its just temporary.

Ive been on a lot of forums but never had near as many people bash me as i do on this one, at first i did let it get to me but now i just let it slide. Ive just always had the mentality of not saying anything if i dont like something.. Oh ya and the shark fin is on its way!!

Nice side shot. Really shows off the tint job. What % of tint did you go with? Mine goes in on Monday and it would be good to have a benchmark.

Its only 32%, i have usually tinted everything i own down to about 13% but i didnt want the hassle of the cops bugging me with this car so i did the legal limit.

Forgot to answer your question on the paint, i dont remember the brand but it was just a gloss black base coat and then i did a couple layers of clear on top of that. I scuffed it with a scotch bright pad.

Latest Mod

Well i just couldnt justify spending 100 dollars on a sharkfin antenna so i improvised. I looked online at all different types of cars that come stock with shark fin style antennas. I found a stock black antenna cover that came off of a BMW on ebay for 20$ shipped, and decided what the heck ill give it a try. Well it finally came in today, it wasnt an exact fit but with just a little bit of customizing it turned out perfect.

Sorry for the bad picture qualtiy i took them with my iphone

So this is what it looked like when i got it.

So our stock antenna was a little wide so i had to shave a little off of both sides of the cover, and there was a dimple that i shaved off so that it would sit flush

Then i just put new double sided tape on it,

And then just put it on,

I dont know how much someone would charge you to paint match one of these but i bet it would still end up being cheaper then buying one for $100.

Gotta say your roof looks like it came out really good. Props on that and props on your willingness to scuff your pretty new paint to do it. I wouldn't have been able to make myself do that.

No kidding. Personally, I'd just vinyl wrap the roof gloss black.

Is it functional? Is there actual connections for the antenna?

It is just a antenna cover, I put a short screw where the antenna used to screw in at and I honestly can not tell a difference in radio connection. Still sounds crystal clear.

Been a while so I thought I would post up a few of my new additions!

No more scion emblems. New Toyota emblems!!

Megan Racing Exhaust
Love the exhaust tone, but it does have a big clearance issue.

Here are a few shots of the install process!!

A few before and afters!!

Shot of clearance issue!!!

Then I decided to wire up a new brake light!

Then I had to make a cover for the open side because I just couldn't deal with that opening.
