Pre Facelift (ZN6) Tail Light Fitment on Facelift Model

wanting to try my hand at illumaesthetic's DIY LED kit for my 2017 86, however they are made to fit the ZN6 tail light housing. I've seen many posts made about swapping the tail lights the other way around but wanted to know if I would run into any issues doing it this way

They are plug and play.

Doubt it will work because the 17+ tails are already LED and sealed and you can't just swap bulbs to LEDs, etc like you can with the 13-16 tails.

Why not email illumaesthetic and ask this quesiton?

Edit: Are you asking if you can use the illumaesthetic kit on your 17 tails, or just if you can swap 13-16 tails into your 17?

If I could just swap 13-16 tails into my 17. I did email them on what you thought I was asking but didn't ask if 13-16 would fit on 17+. i have found they will. just have to figure out wiring. thanks anyway.

Yep, both types are compatible with each other. Pretty cool.
