More than a few people have been burned by this so far... I ran into the same mistake with them as well, BEFORE they updated their site with any information or clarification.

Make sure you know exactly what you're ordering when you put an order through them.

Looks fantastic once installed.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take to install and how difficult was it?

5 minutes. Very easy if you are "hands on". You will need to mask off between the panel and the shifter with painters tape to avoid scratching the area in front of the panel when it comes out. I pushed the tape as square against the panel as I could.

Then it is a double motion. You will grab inside the pocket of the panel, pull out-down then pull out-up. The panel comes out and you just swippy swappy the starter and harness.

Yep, it's plug and play. I've got both boxes here. So I know the part numbers very well.

If you order from J-parts make sure in the drop-down that you choose the BRZ part and not the GR part.

This only works for the BRZ limited (in the US) correct?

I dont believe so since you would need the Keyless entry system which currently is only available on the limited version of the BRZ in the states. however available on the GT86 in other parts of the world.

That I don't know for sure and can't confirm. Due to cost savings measures I would assume this works for every push button ZN/ZC out there in the world.

But I can only confirm that said part number will fit the USDM BRZ.

Doubtful. To make this work on the FR-S would require you to get pretty custom with your wiring. It would almost make more sense to go with an aftermarket push-button starter due to cost.

If you were to go OE it would require:
New ignition switches/relays
Push Button Starter w/ Panel
All associated harnesses and wiring
