Someone can confirm that replacing the alternator fixed the issue for him?

Im having this issue on my new 2022 brz
Same as many have said…happens under trail braking…high load. Happens more now that I changed to stickier wider tires. Happens even more with a passenger.
Kw v3…stock sway bars. 265 18 35 azenis rt615k+ 2.3 degrees of camber. All around

No, it doesn't fix it.

I swapped motors and have an OEM Honda alternator on the car, it still drops out.

get a smaller alt pulley and set the target voltage over 14v?

The alternator is already realistically overdriven as-is and it is running in high charge mode with the way KPower has it wired (3 wire vs 4 wire); I don't think it is a power supply issue.

I messaged with Icecreamtruk a few months ago who is LS swapped. He said he is only supplying the EPS unit with power and it doesn't cut out on him, but it requires shaking the wheel to wake up the EPS unit.

The wiring for the EPS takes in ground, 10a power, 80a power, can hi, can lo so I'm going to try depinning the can wires to test next event.

I will note that having dropped 110lb off the front of the car has lessened the frequency and intensity of the cutout, but it is still there.

edit: I checked my logs and 12v never drops below 12.7v.

I have mine wired up like that in “limp” mode so it only gets a 12v to turn on and then a high current line straight to the battery and mine still cuts out at high load. I just meant running the system at 14v instead of 12

Well, that is unfortunate news. I know nothing in this area, but I assume battery voltage is the same voltage seen by everything 12v, right?

This data doesn't really mean much, but it seems that it is already seeing ~13.5v as-is and I don't see any huge drops that correlate with cornering, unfortunately.

I have a 2015, and I installed a 2017 power steering motor and power steering computer. It worked fine, but still cut out. After that, I installed an emulator and disconnected it from the CAN wiring in the car. It no longer cuts out.

Any details on this emulator? Are you feeding it a constant speed to control assist?

Yay, happened to me today for the first time. Out at The Ridge in WA, turn 8.

For others that have experienced this, does it get worse or more frequent. Today was annoying. But I could live with it if this is all that I get.

It doesn’t really get better/worse in my experience. Longer sessions make it worse.

Weird you have it at T8, I get it at 2,5 and 6.

It happened one other spot, I can’t recall exactly where. I think 12. For sure not 2,5, or 6 though. Strange. 2-3 times in 8 and once somewhere else, probably 12. 5 20 minute sessions.
