I think this is supposed to be a list of things they haven't fixed yet or can't be fixed.

Cricket noise is semi normal.
Torque dip is permanent and they won't adjust it.
And the seat sensor has been fixed in a TSB already.

If you heard the volume of my crickets you wouldn't believe that it is normal.

An armrest and/or cover for the drink/ash tray holder area.

Bring up the gas issue and how they recommend 93 octane when the highest you can get at most gas stations (if not all) is 91 in California. And it all contains ethanol in California. I would think Japan engineers should have taken this in to consideration since California is a car person state and they'd be selling a lot of their cars to us. And we take pride in operating our cars to engineered specifications.

Thank You.

Not really that big of a deal compared to the rest of the aforementioned problems, but I'd like to see the seatbelt strap to be a bit more... m... designed? It feels very flimsy and we saw on the demo cars that its easy to break.

That one is an easy fix. It's explained in the manual, but something along the lines of roll the window up all the way, hold the window switch up for 2 seconds, release, hold again for one second, release, and once more for once second. Should fix it right up for you.

Customer’s comments and concerns about the Scion FR-S

What is Toyota doing about the rpm dip that most cars have?

Is the cricket noise really the DI system or something we should be worried about?

Are they going to investigate the auto up/down feature on the passenger window that many members have had problems with?

Why does the 6MT have a 'clunk/thud' sound and feel through the whole car when shifting into first while stopped? I feel like I'm doing something that will break it eventually even though people are saying it's normal.

Has anyone had any issue with fuel gauge not reading correctly.
On the weekend went and filled up the car, gauge was reading 1/2 full.
filled up car till the pump stopped, paid for gas drove off and noticed that the fuel gauge had not moved, still at same point before I had added fuel.

Rear deck making popping (or ticking/tapping) sound.
When rear seats are down, it sounds like a small stone is dropping on top of the trunk.
When rear seats are up, the sound gets dull.
It happens at any speed even at 5 mph in a parking lot.

There are a number of people experiencing this noise in Japan and some of them were able to get it fixed.
The fix is to adjust the spacing in the part circled in red below:

I want to have this known to Toyota/Scion in U.S. also, so that I can get mine fixed too.

top door seals folding up/creasing when windows are rolled up and water getting past them when washing/raining hard.
The chirping from the motor and the idle dip are my issues, although it doesn't affect anything, answers/solutions would be nice.
Rough idle (when coming to stop or anywhere for that matter). Reports exist for both 91 and 93 octane with and without ethanol.
Any plans of implementing window control from key fob?

I'd like to note that the torque dip is done purposely from the factory for better mpg.

Why does the oil dipstick say its overfilled?

When changing my oil should I put 5.8 quarts in, which will overfill it, or measure to the dipstick, which would be less oil than how it came from the factory?

Yeah they need to change that. We've found out that ~5.3 quarts is the proper amount to fill. Good call.
