Feels as if some crypto tips are in order for such a request. IM fittings are not a 5 min affair on an in warranty vehicle.

CSG CP pads with about 7 hours of track use.

~0.75 hours at Streets of Willow Springs
~2 hours at Speed Vegas
~1.25 hours at Auto Club Speedway (heavy brakes, full sessions)
~4 hours at Buttonwillow (full sessions)

Mixed drivers at all venues.

- No radial taper on the inboard pad.
- Outboard pad had a small radial taper. Suspected cause to be the caliper bracket tacoing when hot under heavier load. Inboard pad/caliper is secured onto the knuckle, but the outboard pad has no mounting at the center. Par for the crouse on stock calipers while running long sessions.

On the street, I've had zero issues with them intervening.

I haven't tried them on track, and don't really plan on it unless someone is willing to provide me with a vehicle to do so with, as TCS/VSC is inherently abusive to the vehicle if it's intervening a lot. I suspect I can do 95% driving with zero intervention, but 100% driving will be impossible.

Also falls into the category of "I just don't have time" and at the moment, plan on keeping the powertrain completely stock.

Remember, I'm doing all this on the side in my spare time. I do also have a day job.

No worries - just thought I'd throw the idea out there.

Its hard to sell something to people that don't need it.

Imagine if it fits basically most manifolds...

Hi Mike, Im curious what you think of the electronic driver aids in the new BRZ. Do you think any of the standard traction control modes are actually good for track driving?

Long press aka press and hold is just about equal to Pedal Dance on gen 1

I hope so. It seems like marketing wise they are embracing the motorsport side of things but well see if that transfers over to the car. They should recognize how many people have been pedal dancing and incorporate those features into a standard mode.

Should be TCS. I believe the track button only has one setting.

???? - Call Irvine Subaru and request that they order me a new BRZ the moment it is available, and leave a standing deposit. I've already purchased many cars from them, and they know I'm committed.

28 Oct, 2021 - Get a message from Irvine Subaru that my BRZ has arrived and is ready for pickup. Unfortunately have to work and won't make it.

29 Oct, 2021, 9PM - Took delivery after hours, courtesy of Asher who stayed late so I could sign for the car. I attempt to connect Ecutek and an AIM Solo DL when I get home to see what data I can get. Neither are able to at this time. 6 miles on the ODO at this time.

30 Oct, 2021, 4AM - Show up at CSG to swap in CP brake pads, Endless brake fluid, and swap the terrible factory lug nuts for some RAYS Lug Nuts. CSG lug nuts have been backordered for a while, so I opted for the next best thing.

30 Oct, 2021, 6AM - hit ACH (Angeles Crest Highway) on the way up to Streets of Willow for 86CUP, to feel the car out.. Car is slightly understeery as expected. I get worried that I'm perhaps cycling the tires a bit much. I also spend some time bedding the brakes, and progressively increase engine load and RPM, to do simulated dyno break-in.

30 Oct, 2022, 8AM - I get to SoWS, dump everything out of the car in a rush, and head on track. The car definitely feels softer than before. It's easily a superior everyday driver compared to the 1st gen car.

2 Nov, 2022 - CSG FLA V2 Prototypes installed, corner balanced, and aligned.

4 Nov, 2022 - Car is being flogged at SpeedVegas, not by me. Brakes validated. Coilover may get another revision.

6 Nov, 2022 - Auto Club Speedway with 86CUP. Easily hit 6th gear, even with a passenger. Very used stock tires able to stay flat in oval without issue.

8 Nov, 2022 - Dropped car off at OEM Audio+

27 Nov, 2022 - STR38 private track day at Buttonwillow. Suspension testing with very, very dead tires.

12 Dec, 2022 - 86CUP Round 12. Mixed drivers. CP pads showing about 4.5mm of wear after ~7 hours (rounded down) of track use.
Are you living in the future? Gimmie some lotto numbers brotha!
