Not quite as bad as when we moved into an air conditioned apartment in July (read hot and humid) in Louisville, KY and the power wasn't turned on. I went down to the managers office to get it turned on. He said since it was a Friday night, he couldn't get it turned on until Monday morning. So I took my handful of tools out behind the apartment building, found the box that didn't have the little wheel spinning around in it, "opened" it up and turned on the power. |

Under power engine load causes the suspension to resist compression. Lowering the arm reduces the anti-squat characteristic and allows the suspension to work more "freely" under engine load. It should improve suspension dampening under power and increase traction under power which is essentially what they claim. Pretty much opposite of what they are trying to accomplish with MTB rear suspension to prevent pedal bob.

Anti-squat feels cool but, like you said, it's not THAT big of a deal.

Thanks. The real beauty was that I could walk to the end of my driveway and turn right to go down to the creek, fields and woods. We could follow the creek all the way to the second marsh and Lake Ontario. A nice days outing for young boys.
Or... I could turn left and walk a block to the Oshawa Town Line, get on a bus and be in downtown in under 20 minutes. Yep, the best of both worlds. |
