Subaru 80w-90 Diff oil

I was at the dealership recently and saw that they have 80w-90 diff oil. I was just curious does this work for our cars? I know the manual says to use a GL-3 and higher or 75w-90 oil. Heres a link for reference.

i use 80w-90 works fine in my car got tired of buying the small quarts

Ok cool, yea i saw that and couldnt find any information on the forums about this oil. Maybe ill try it once i need to change my diff fluid

I just used this in my diff. Changed my trans fluid at the same time with 75w90.
