Dude, do you toss your brake calipers? Get heels make from the same compound your pads are made from, replace at the same time.

#1 could be issue of the DBW system and throttle lag. I've had this car for 1.5 years as my DD and I still find it very finnicky. I will press the pedal the same distance and sometimes it will just barely go above 1K RPM, and sometimes it will shoot up to 3k RPM instantly. Nowhere as smooth and consistent as a traditional throttle cable.

#2 could be the result of it being automatic. I have the car in manual and I can stop the car with no backlash by braking the way you describe.

Nope, it's always been a problem. I took 50k+ on the stock tires, haha. It just got worse and less grippy (fun for the driver, bad for the passenger). There are a few people here have had the same experience.

It takes getting used to. Even after 5 years I have a lumpy take off once in a while.

I just pay more attention for a while and get the mojo back.

Exactly, and well said. Something not everyone will accept, appreciate, or understand.

I keep trying to tell my girl this, but every time we ride together, I get bitched at!!
