There are a couple of imported ones on Auto Trader here. Looks like they go for around $20K which is pretty good money for a car over 10 years old.

Yeah, unfortunately they didn't do well at all over here. People thought the exterior was too bland. When the 2005 Mustang came out everyone went crazy over it's "Retro" styling and thought the GTO looked too modern. Personally I love the way they look. After 2004 they came with the LS2 also which made it even more peppy.

I'm not surprised the CTR overheats, but from what I understand the fix will most likely be a heavy duty radiator and oil cooler. On the otherhand, I was under the impression that the Rear Differential Unit on the Focus RS was inherently flawed when it came to track duty. A differential cooler seems like a bandaid to the issue and any real fix seems like it would be serious $$$. I could be totally wrong about that though. After all that money though I would much rather skip the Focus altogether.

I had a chance to spend a week with the car and while it's very good, it's not for me.
Likes: -Immediate turn in and handling feels crisp -Incredibly smooth suspension, even with 19" winter tires -Very, very good shifter -Brakes are eye ball ejectors -Seats are amazing and the H-point is low for a hatch -Very functional interior space -Feels substantially lighter compared to in class competition Dislikes: -It's been said before, but the driving parameters cannot be set independent of the drive mode. I don't want artificially heavy and twitchy steering at the same time as Sport suspension and throttle mapping. -Engine feels pretty much indistinguishable from other modern 2.0 DITs -No real engine note or exhaust note to speak of -Infotainment system and climate control system is an exercise in frustration -Minivan-esque visibility (all hot hatches suffer from this) -Styling...it has presence, but not the kind that I want I think this will be a great car for a lot of people, but once the lease on my Golf R is up, I want to go with something that is more analogue and has more cylinders. I am probably going to try and find an unmolested 370 Z or 981 Cayman S and drive it until the wheels fall off. |

I feel like the 981 is going to age better than the 987.2, but I may have to take a look at the 987.2. Manual transmission 981.2 S are rare as heck up here. There are only two listed in a 500 km radius on Auto Trader up here and only one is an actual colour.

I'm not a fan of how big the car looks, I don't really understand why Honda doesn't offer a Fit Si? That being said, if I was in the market for a sedan under 30k I would probably get a Civic Si over cars like the WRX, Focus ST, and GTI.
