How terrible would it be to use
https://www.amazon.com/Mobil-104361-75W-90-Synthetic-Gear/dp/B000ONZXPK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1512661887&sr=8-1&keywords=mobile+one+75w90 in the diff and in the transmission. Does the LS property make in unsuitable for use in the transmission? Just curious.

You don't have to buy it too often! You CAN use the LS stuff in the diff though, but I'd just run the same of everything. |

So... Can we use 2L and get away with 2 one L bottles or does it have to be 2.2L such that we have leftover?

.2L is around 6.75oz, so not quite one cup. I think it'd be worth having the correct amount in there. It's not worth risking the transmission to save $25

Not too bad. I haven't touched them since I put them in (skipped changing the fluid last summer). After two Minnesota winters, they are still in decent shape on the differential. From the looks of the condition, I should be able to remove without them without undue effort in the summer. I will look at the transmission bolts soon as the weather improves. The photo showing snow was take on Monday, April 16, 2018. Today should have a high of 56°F so things are melting. It looks like spring is finally coming to Minnesota.

Did anyone measure the crush washers? I really don't want to pay the dealership $15 for a couple crush washers. I'm guessing they aren't the same size as the ones used by the oil drain plug. That'd be too easy!

There are vehicles that call for filling the fill plug on a level surface until oil begins to drain because the drain location would represent the volume of fluid required for the change. In that case, the vehicle needs to be as level as possible. In the case that someone knows how much to fill, the best procedure would be to tilt the car towards the drain plug to maximize emptying then to tilt the car away from the fill plug to maximize fluid retention. Am I missing something?
