As water going up faster than oil, it will rise the oil temp quicker. A radiator will low the temperature, that's why you then needs a thermostat plate.

Has anyone run into coolant leaks with this setup? I burped my system with a spill free funnel and ran the car for 10-15 min until the air bubbles slowed way down.
The morning after the install I found a nice antifreeze puddle on the street under my BRZ. It appears to be a small leak. No issues from the front pipe or connections off the oil cooler itself. Then I found this at the bottom. Luckily the nipple didn't seem to be exhibiting any issues. I was worried I'd have to deal with that... after loctiting it in. Following the trail of dried coolant further, it looks like the smaller pipe and hose by the firewall is the source of the leak. I'm struggling right now to get that little hose clamp back off but will end up replacing it with a standard one once I do. |

Hey guys, while surfing the interwebs, looking for cheaper subaru parts stores I found this one. For people living in the southeast part of the US this would be a great place. Don't know if shipping will be more for the west coast, I doubt it, but the price shipped came to $268.54 shipped. Hope this helps.

Just about to try out the throttle version install and wondering if there is any importance to the way the hoses hook up from the cooler to the throttle body (how to tell which goes to the inlet and which to the outlet) also what size hoses to use that fits the barb on the throttle nipple, read threw the thread one guy said 3/8" and others say 1/2"
thanks! |

Hey everyone, I've got a fairly stupid question I'd like to ask!
I'm planning on installing the Forest XT oem oil cooler/ regulator but wanted to know if I could simply reuse my engine coolant, when I drain the system, instead of buying several containers of it. Being that the car is roughly 6mo old, I didn't see any reason it wouldn't work as long as I use a clean pan with no contaminants. Thoughts?

I did it twice using empty distilled water jar. You can connect hose from overflow tank to the tip of drain nipple then collect coolant straight to water jar. When I refill it, I filtered it just in case. 나의 SM-N950U 의 Tapatalk에서 보냄 |

What did you use to filter the coolant?
