I purchased the Advanced Keys module a few years back and installed it in my Toyota. Obviously I'm not going to sell the car with the module installed! I got a steal of a deal, the push button start AND the proximity module for $150 shipped.

can you link the part number or anything for what you got. would be nice to find a push button start... although I guess I could find a way to use the BRZ one im sure. Thats one thing I wish was an option for the FR-s

I have the AK-104B, which is both modules together. Or if you scroll down, you can purchase the modules separately. The button used should be the same as the OEM button. I don't think swapping the BRZ push button in will be easy. The OEM setup requires a new steering column for the lock out, as well as a different ECU for the key/transponder. I think aftermarket is going to be the cheapest route! |

Hows the install going? Was it tricky? I was planning on buying the AK-104B off of a friend who never used it. =)
EDIT: Follow up question, how did you deal with the steering column lock? Did you manually place a key into the key hole to forgo the steering column lock, or is it actually an electrical switch?
