De Badging

Does anybody know if the "Toyota" name badge on our boot lid has holes underneath, or is this just stuck on?

I know the Toyota badge has holes, but does the name.

it's very likely stick on as BRZ and FRS don't have a badge there.

can't confirm 100% tho as i don't have the car but i'd say 99%. lol

Hair dryer, hear gun or leave the car under the sun (probably too cold at the moment)

I used hairdryer for half a minute just to soften up adhesive then it peeled off cleanly, gave a little wipe and was all good.

Removed Toyota from mine. Hair dryer and peeled it off. The excess glue came off with a small amount of water.

After seeing this post I went and did it myself .

Took 5 mins all up.

My first mod is all finished

I have completed my first mod to the 86, removed the Toyota badge from the boot .

Looks clean now.

So this is how it started.

All finished.

What I used to get the job done

Job Done.

Looks much better without it there. The Toyota badge looks like an afterthought.

Nah, the paint itself doesnt really heat up that much. I used the hair dryer on medium heat for a couple of mins, wasnt doing much, so turned it up to full, another few mins and it started to move with a bit of wedging. Eventually pulled at one end and gently removed it. Little excess glue was easy to remove.

Will wait until I get mine to see if I want to do this or not, but more than likely will.

I have been told that dental floss is the best thing to slide under to remove it as it is less likely to damage paintwork.
