The cars that are coming look great guys, I would have to say. The whiteout looks great IMO. It just looks so damn dark but I like every colour I work on. One thing I noticed while working on these cars is that the paint quality is high, very high for the price. I mean the little details on the car, even the one's I've noticed in paint are amazing. This car is a engineering marvel, I probably would have got it if I could afford it and if it fit my needs. Key word being "fit" LOL

Also a warning for people who are getting their vehicle late and have the dealership throwing in free rust proofing. I recently had a client who got this and they actually sprayed the rust proofing everywhere, and I mean everywhere even on the plastic in the engine bay. My client was pissed. There was rustproofing solvent on the rims, on the side view mirror, the wheel wells and even some on the paint. It's like they tried to mess up, or were trying to be very fast like do it under 30 seconds.

I wouldn't even go for the dealership rust proofing. That wax style rust proofing doesn't work as well as yearly oil rust proofing from what I've seen.

Hamza and me were talking about this when he was detailing my car. Why do dealerships resort to providing the lowest quality of service/product while advertising the best?
If Krown is the best, get in touch with Krown, have Krown do their customers cars? Krown gets money, Toyota gets reputation so people won't feel bad about going in for work. Same for detailing. Why do i, as the consumer, have to go on to the internet to find a dude that will detail my car a billion times better than the dealership will ever care to. I would have not minded paying the same money to my dealership if they had someone like Hamza on staff taking the same care detailing a car. They are losing business they could have easily kept.

I've worked for dealerships detailing before. Big names too. They don't accept my methods and ideas. They want you to do what they've always done and use products that they get for cheap because that's what they've always done. Even if they know it's not the best for the cars. I just purchased a Mazda 3 two days ago for the parents. The sales guy actually got OFFENDED after I declined the dealership rustproofing. He started attacking me stating that the car is going to rust and it because of my ignorance. I told him I was going to do my own oil changes and he starts to question if I'm an authorized mechanic like the ones at his dealership and the type of oils I use and if I know what I'm doing. He just turns into a full d!ckhead and starts mentioning all these useless facts. Dealerships will always be stealerships. The irony is that I use better quality oil and filters than the dealership and I actually torque my bolts down to spec where most dealerships just slam the bolts with the air gun and over torque them. |

yar i'm not the entrepreneur type, i just feed ideas. I used to work in sales, worst time of my life. I'd rather work as a male whore than feed consumerism down the throats of unsuspecting souls.
it's a sad state of affairs

Here is some info on Krown from a Toronto based opinion.
http://forums.redflagdeals.com/wax-b...ating-1096640/ http://forums.redflagdeals.com/rust-...-civic-742960/ The only issue with Krown is that the oil is MESSY. When it's freshly sprayed its fine but after winter and when dirt starts to collect on the oil it just turns into nasty gunk. What I do for my daily driver is Krown it before winter and than strip the Krown off as best as I can right before summer. |

Just as a point of fact: It's been pretty well known (I thought) for years now that modern cars have sufficient rust-proofing from the factory.
Spraying shit on the bottom of your new cars today is not only a waste of money, but messy/ugly as well. |

No I just do it myself. The engine bay is usually what gets really nasty. Some degreaser and patience goes a long way. A pressure washer helps a ton. You don't really need a lift. You can get the pressure washer under the car at stock ride height. If you want you can jack it up and put it on jack stands. That would help. Or just get under there with some degreaser and take it all of yourself!

I don't agree with this point because the rustproofing is preventative maintenance to slow down or prevent rust. Just because "something" is going to bound to happen doesn't mean you can't take actions to prevent or slow it down. Cars are bound to get rock chips so why do people get clear bras or opti coat? It's bound to happen. The coating will not protect against rock chips. It's only a sacrificial layer to further preserve the clear coat on the vehicle. I've never seen a forum go so wild over opti coat before, this is a first for me. Luckily I have some in my stash to use/offer on vehicles. Don't take this personally, but I'm just saying, many things are "bound" to happen to a vehicle over its lifetime as it is used and subjected to natural elements, but doesn't mean that precautions can't be taken or are useless all together. |

^ yep.. I think in Toronto where they throw salt out like it's free. I don't think its worth it to not rust proof a car. Some cars just have some low grade steel. The FR-S is one we have to wait and see.
I actually detail the bottom of my own car. It's not winter driven so the bottom is immaculate. I go under with wool to scrub off the dirt and wipe everything down with some wd40. Nothing to do when the car is on jack stands in the winter lol. |

Yeah. No need for the Global sticker on the windows. They will be all over the car inside if you look closely. Enjoy the ride.
