FR-S is Cursed in America.

I just got CU2MIKE to detail my FR-S and opti-guard it last night.
While I was eating at Carpinteria In-N-Out some girl scratches the driver's rear side of the car!!!!!!
Was about to eat my animal double double (just had finished my animal well done fries) and then some guy comes up to me (the guy that parked a good condition 300zx) and says some one hit me.
Paused and me: "HAA, good one."
Too bad he was dead serious.

Man I've been having a buncha bad luck since I got this car.

Yeah I got all the information, but ugh.
Brand new car = no spare parts.
I really want this car to be immaculate.
If I just repair .. it won't do for me ...
Not to mention the Opti-Gaurd needs another application - need to find another detailer (hopefully Mike will be willing to do another on my baby ..)

Cursed huh? That's how I felt after hitting that road debris and getting a nice gogue+tear in my bumper. You'll feel better once it's fixed!

Now I just hope I don't have a CEL anytime soon!

Oh yeah, a small ding in the wind shield (some rock flew off a guy's tire) even though I had a ton of spacing between us

Under side isn't too bad. I have a few chips there but I expect it. You can't see it really.

Later on over the years I may decide to flat black the middle part of the bumper and a good section of the under side. It'll look intentional, uniform, and be easier to upkeep.

I'm surprised you've moved on about rock chips on the red!
I'm with the silver and I think about it and it bugs me still hahaha.
Soon enough I'll learn to forget ...

seems like a majority of the damage fr-s is coming from Cali, but maybe its because there are more allocations there.

Plus a higher concentration of vehicles and countless terrible drivers.

Thank you my friend.
My friend IRL's dad is coming down tomorrow and he works for the insurance company.
I'll be getting some suggestions from him as to how I should deal with this issue, hopefully this is where the good news is going to be coming from.

I was thinking physics and that made no sense to me.
If you're talking about the idea of car getting messed up, that really wouldn't be the case.
I've never had any vehicle to vehicle mashing nor did I expect/prepare for.
Only rock chips and stuff - which happened ironically + a rock tapping the windshield -_-

The idea is if you were to constantly worry about something happening to your car. then something is going to happen to your car... in a nutshell.

Keep in mind also that people who have trouble with their car will tend to post their frustrations, while those that don't won't post.
