My lil car is over 65k miles! Damn...and I'm just a few months shy of 3yrs of ownership.
In other news, I got the Mustang running today! Took her for a spin around the shop and am super stoked. Lots more to do, but this was certainly a milestone.

No spacers, just the +35mm offset on these wheels.

In other news, the car is over 75k now. Recently replaced the throwout bearing (extended warranty) and the clutch (not covered).
I also finally replaced the brake pads, lines and fluid. It took this long for the stock pads to finally ALMOST wear out.

Dang, haven't updated this in a while. Car is just over 111,000 miles now.
I'm running 245/40s on the 720Form wheels now (MPSS). They're about done, and I'm considering 255s, but I do like that the 245/40 size is almost exactly the same diameter as stock. I changed out the rear diff fluid a while back and tried to do the trans as well. I must have really hulked that fill plug the last time, cuz I couldn't get it out without stripping. So yesterday, I tried again with the car up higher so I would have more room...still no luck. That sucker is not moving, and now I can't get the 10mm driver seated all the way in. Gonna have to let someone with better equipment handle that. Since it was already up, I finally installed a Whiteline KDT926 that I've had in the garage for...a pretty long time, now (positive shift kit). Was gonna do spark plugs, but had to run and get a new spark plug socket since these things are so goddamn tiny. By the time I was done running around, it was mid afternoon and I didn't want to start that mess so late. Might wait until I have an extra set of hands, anyway. Speaking of plugs...Bob Baker Subaru (Carlsbad, CA) quoted me $180 over the phone for the labor to replace them, since I already had the parts on hand. I got there last week and they said I was misquoted and it'd take 3.5 hours @ $140/hr = $490!!!! I said, screw that and left. Later I called Frank's Subaru (Irvine, CA) and they said it'd be 2 hours @ $120/hr = $240. Might even be worth taking it in for the peace of mind and not spend a day cursing in my driveway. I'm pretty sure the first dealer has never done the service...they said they'd need to take the intake manifold off. That's not in the service manual! Pretty sure there's nothing else exciting to report... Oh, got my Mustang registered last year at some point (FINALLY). I replaced some lower suspension bits and now need an alignment. Gonna take her to a shop that can do old cars w/ custom suspension and also have them tweak the carb since I suck at that. I can tear down and assemble one no prob...just don't ask me to adjust anything. Once that's done, she'll be pretty road-worthy. Also got some sweet APR carbon mirrors that I'm going to somehow adapt on the 'stang. Road Warrior!

I'll be sure to post pics. Might not happen until next weekend, or whenever my buddy is free to lend a hand.

My buddy helped replace my spark plugs today (ok, I helped him). His hands are a lot smaller and that made quite a difference. We did drop a few parts/tools down onto the undertray, but a telescoping magnet helped.
It wasn't that bad, we didn't have to mess with the motor mounts. Just got creative with short extensions on the spark plug socket. He said he helped someone with VA STi and that one was way worse.

Finally got around to snapping a shot of the plugs.
#1 had a misfire a while back, so it's a bit worse than the others. Overall, not bad for going almost double the recommended interval.

Haven't been doing much to the car lately, as I plan to sell/trade in the near future. I'm looking to find a SG Forester XT manual or even an SH FXT if it's really nice, although I'd hate to live with an auto as DD. Manual FXTs are really hard to find!
Once I get the car cleaned up and some current pics taken, I'll post a "testing waters" thread to see what kind of price I could potentially get. I have loved driving this car, but I'm not gonna lie...it sucks getting in and out every day. And I really want a car where I don't have to stoop to keep from bumping into the headliner. It would also be nice to have cargo space again (I sure miss my GR sometimes). Besides, I don't really need to have TWO impractical coupes. At least the Mustang has a trunk... If you know anyone looking for a cheap BRZ, let me know. Mileage is 123k and I'm aware that will bring the price way down, but it's a part of life for me. Just can't seem to ever work and live close together.

No idea what it takes to import a car, but it makes me curious. I'll have to look into that, as the pool of available FXTs seems pretty shallow.
