My order originally wasn't supposed to come until the end of March (Non-PP Limited CWP), but I lucked out big time and my salesman got me a CWP w/PP last night!
The car is stunning in person and I couldn't be more happy. I'll probably start a build thread as that is what I did with my S2000s. |

Jealous of you guys getting your cars early. I ordered three weeks ago and got eta end of April. So I'm hoping a little early than that. I'm from the Bay Area too so maybe I'll meet you guys some day.

It can't be turned completely off but it can be dimmed so it isn't intrusive. I can post some photos tonight

It's strange that I ordered within a few days of you (Nov 29) and got my car at least a full month before you. I am extremely curious how that happened

There are other people around here who have bought literally the same car off the lot (non-reserved) as well and it just kinda confuses me that dealers can get a car like that and keep an actual paying customer from receiving theirs till later. When it comes to money it doesn't make sense. All I can figure (beyond allotments specifically for certain regions/dealers) is that dealers get some non-reserved cars specifically so they can be used for marketing (people driving by or walking the lot and seeing one is probably a good sales driver). dunno. It's cool though, as long as I get it eventually haha. |

Plus, if you order brz which matches the pre-ordered brz which delaers ordered for their own inventory, waiting is much shorter. Recently most dealers get PP brz delivered, so some PP buyers even get Brz with "0" waiting. On my case, I ordered Non PP BRZ with unusual choice of options, my waiting is almost 4 months. Just received a call from my dealer that my 2017 BRZ CWP PP has arrived. I will most likely pick it up on Thursday.

Been through this a dozen times. Ordering cars is not a first come first serve system. What you wanted, regional allotments, shipping schedules, and many other factors all come into play. As long as everybody gets one then when they get it is not an issue.

Yep. We saw that even in the First86 program. While we got the first 86 (or so, not everybody bought the one allotted to them) we did not get the first 86 produced because we were able to select a color and a transmission type. I have a relatively low serial number (in the 200's) but there are people that bought their car well after mine that got a lower serial number. They basically held cars at the port and shipped only the ones that matched the order, but we did not know in advance which one would be purchased.
