Fixed Price Servicing?

I've had a look around but can't seem to find an answer to this. Can anyone confirm if the 86 comes under Toyota's fixed priced servicing, and if so, what's the prices?

Yes. $170 each for the first 6.

EDIT: it's for the first four.

The first four, not six. Intervals are 9 months/15,000kms. All fixed price servicing ends at three years.

Camry, Aurion and 86 are longer intervals.

So the newer releases only.

I'll still change oil every 7500km but certainly an improvement.

I wouldn't let unsupervised Subaru apprentices near one of my cars, let alone unsupervised Toyota apprentices ... even if they were free.

As per the Toyota 86 Digital Brochure says at [J7] "...(up to the first 4 services)." Least it's better than none at all *cough Subaru*

Its definitely only the first four guys. The fixed price servicing covers up to three years on all Toyota regardless of service intervals.

Hearing you. But for those of us not "in the know" there isn't an easily identifiable better option.

Top One Automotive at Arncliff does great work. A lot of my friends in Sydney get their cars worked on by this shop.

Yep, despite what the service centre guys told me when taking delivery (6mth intervals), can confirm the warranty and service book says 9mth/15k intervals. So 4 services x 9 month intervals = 3 years (clarifying the concerns I had in a post in another thread) and that means total cost of servicing by Toyota for the original warranty period will be $680.

Also be aware that you can buy an extended TMCA warranty (1, 2 or 3 years) at any time up the end of the original warranty. Not just at purchase time.

I agree with this. Hanny's for Honda, top one for anything else. Only problem is you have to go Toyota to keep the warranty.

You just need to go to a licensed mechanic and keep all the receipts, log books etc.

I don't think it's a waste at all, especially if you're going to do the odd track day and weekend thrash. Oil is cheap.

I'm used to doing bikes at 3000km, though they share oil with the clutch so degrade it much faster especially doing 16500 rpm all day. Manual for my bike states 10000km

I stand corrected. I just assumed this was the case since this is the first new car I've ever bought with warranty. Even better then, I wouldn't trust any of those guys to service my car considering the horror stories I've heard. Top One here i come...
