It's all in the mold. If a "replica" company can produce a mold that yields the exact same results. What's the difference?

For a car that's going to be abused at the track, paying a quarter of the price for the same thing was a no brainer for me.

But I understand why people would go the authentic route as well.

Sorry, I forgot to include the emoji... Yea, its terrible. It needs a bunch of fitting work. You should see the other side...

But at the end of the day, its still cheaper than the authentic piece. It all depends on what you want really.. I will most likely fuck this bumper up at autocross and at the track anyways...

I almost want to throw on the stock bumper, and run a lip for the time being... Havent decided yet.

What I dont understand is this massive hate people have for replicas.
Especially from the people who buy the real deal. This community looks down on people who have replicas.

I love the fact that I made a replica work damn good for next to nothing.
That's how I get my jollies. Others get their jollies from spending a small fortune for abs plastic. Whatever creams your twinkie.

It's funny you mention fake purses. When it takes a professional to spot the differences in quality in some cases. I'd say your getting a pretty damn good purse for almost nothing.

But hey brother whatever works for you. You sound like the type of guy to buy an 80 dollar t shirt because it has a special brand on it while its sourced from the same place that makes fruit of the loom.

A notable topic of interest is that even the official GReddy Rocketbunny kits have fitment issues when you get up close enough. Most of the time, they're worked on a fair bit before they get painted over at a body shop which is pretty funny. I see people complaining you get crappy fitment from a replica when the authentic is just as bad. The best part is some of these replica makers fix the fitment issues and make a mold of that and it matches better.

To the guy with the pursue situation: fantastic. I'm glad to see you're willing to spend hundreds on a pursue for your girl for something she'll wear for a few months. Go to turkey, they make some of the best knockoffs and there's professionals back in the states that can't tell the differences. But hey, waste your money how you want to, we'll waste our money how we want to.

Because replicas and the massive industry around making fake parts has driven up the cost of real genuine parts exponentially over the years. Plus general performance and fitment of replica parts in comparison....
