OEM Fog Light install! ON and working!

Hey Guys,

Posted this on the BRZ side but I know that the FRS has the same rear...

So we did it and wow! i'm super excited about this unit that we built,

My friend is a great mechanic/engineer his been working on japanese cars for about 10 years and he knows his stuff! He has a 350Z right hand and S15 right hand straight from japan!

When he found out that my BRZ didn't come with the JDM fog light in the middle he said "lets make an actual unit" and wow just 2 hours and bam done!

looks great and works when you have the front lights turned on.

His actually going to make me a switch to turn them on or off when I please.

enough of me talking here's the pics...

Also here's a rolling shoot of the fog light on!

Here's another pass by video with the JDM Fog light.

Fog Light at night!

let me know what you guys think...his going to sell these units pretty soon on his upcoming websites so if anybody's interested

Will post more in a little bit...

Rene

Seriously though, put me down for an order when he opens up shop. As long as I can put it on my FR-S, since I plan to get foglights when they're released.

In this case it is the "real JDM unit" just add a bulb. If you look underneath the FR-S or the Subaru you'll see that the punchout for the light is there, you just have to add it (at least it is on mine). Not sure about the wiring harness though.

Sweet VERY nice.

Quick Q: Hows the cleaning on your car? Since it's DGM, does it get dirty quick?

So far this color is growing in me for the BRZ

Coming over to the dark side of the force I see....
DGM + Opti-Guard + 10 minutes wipe down = showroom finish.
Flecks in paint rock.

Oh to the OP. I want it and I want it now.
ETA for your friend to get these rolling out the door?

Yeah, a lot of people going for SWP even though it isn't out of my top choices. Up next it DGM the GBS

For the FRS its 1st white then red then blue

(Subaru has cooler names lol)

its coming from your stock unit its just that you have to make a wiring harness like you said....but how my mech made it looks OEM no sticking wires coming out or anything.

Zgrinch is right just a nice wipe down and BAM! you have the grey back looking brand new! but don't get me wrong it does get dirty fast! I've always had white on most of my last cars! so getting a darker color is a little annoying...but its well worth it when I see that Grey nice a clean

Definitely interested! Is there a way to ask him to make this work where it blinks F1 style while braking until you come to a complete stop?

I could see what he can do...... sounds pretty cool...but my concern is that will attract a lot of attention with the cops they might say it's distracting to others so I dunno if he would make something like that..

Thanks for looking into this!
A good friend of mine with a 370Z US version installed a light like this (since the US has just a plastic piece); 9LEDs that blink a certain ammount of times when the brake is held; I think another forum member here mentioned 6 blinks to make it 'GT' style; honestly they aren't bright at all, even with the LEDs; like you said these cars are so low & the fog light isn't pointed up or anywhere close to the eyes so should be a great looking piece!
