High cold RPM is normal, happens on the stock car to. It's for cat heating.
As for bouncing idle, sounds like the idle control needs sorting.

The ecu is probably still learning. After flashing mine a few times I have noticed it either learns really quickly and gives a steady idle regardless of turning on the a/c or loading the alternator, or it take months.

Two months ago I stopped by CSG to flash to the CARB/EO tune, and immediately I noticed an occasional hesitation at around 4k-5k RPM under partial throttle conditions. I thought it'd give the ECU time to learn, but it hasn't gone away. It doesn't happen at WOT or the low end of throttle input; but more at 50%-70% throttle. It'll happen when i'm rolling along at 'cruising' speed (RPM around 2.5k) and push the pedal down to accelerate (not WOT) and it'll buck a bit when it hits around 4k. It doesn't happen every single time though.
It happens straight from cold through normal operating temps so from what I can tell, it doesn't seem to be very temperature dependent. I stopped by Edelbrock for them to get some logs, but it only manifested itself a few times during the drive, and we didn't see anything weird in the logs, so it seems safe to drive as is (which was my main concern). We saw it show up as a blip in RPM but weren't sure why. Anyway, I'm hoping that they'll have a chance to take a more detailed look at it (I'm wondering if other people have experienced the same issue), as it's a little bit annoying for daily driving. They've been very responsive and helpful. I'd rather keep the EO tune rather than flash back to the original one (which did not present this issue) just to keep it 100% compliant.

The idle RPM oscilation is because of the Edelbrock intake design, I had the same issue, and my car actually stalled when I had the AC on and it was hot outside this past summer.
In any case, the problem was solved by about 99% with the NEW version of the Delicious Tune update tune. So I strongly advice you contact DT for a tune from them. Bill know what he is doing. There was also a small problem with the blip rpm at 4-5k rpm, and he kinked it out as well. A third problem was when taking off, sometimes it would be a bit of a rough take off with a hesitate as soon as you pressed the gas. He fixed that too. I've been driving with the edelbrock since May, with these issues, then the Delicious tuning update tune came out around June/July, and since then it's been like driving the car with stock reliability, but with power that makes mustang and gti owners cry and wonder why they wasted their money in their cars instead of a brz, haha. :-) |

Oh, and forgot to mention, the rumor is Edelbrock is supposed to be working on a redesigned V2 air intake, to help with this idle rpm hesitation issues, but I haven't heard if its something that it will really happen or not.
