Custom paint/Decals on your FR-S?
Hey guys, just had a quick question. I was wondering if anyone plans on getting some custom paint or decals on their FR-S? I won't be able to do anything to mine for a while but I was thinking I might look into this as a potential mod in the future.
So what do you say, should the FR-S be left alone, or can it stand to have some flare added? |

I strongly prefer the look of track cars than to street cars. A more aggressive body kit, adjustable carbon fiber spoiler and some decals are what i would want most out of mine.

decals would be cool. i saw one already with a 3-5" black-gray strip on the bottom of the car -- and it looked hot. it was at a dealer and i have no idea where they got it but i asked and nobody knew...
if you see some of the japanese pics they have lots of examples and they look crazy nice !

The new craze is vinyl wraps which I plan to do. They're easily removable whenever you may want to sell the car and cost less. I'm probably going to add a bit of flair on mine just to distinguish it from others. I'm sure this car will get a lot more popular and a lot more people are going to be getting it.
Nothing too crazy, probably two black stripes on the bottom. Maybe to give it a "Modern Hachi-Roku" feel since mine is Whiteout. Though I'll play around with it and see what kind of design I like best. I tend to be very minimal with cosmetic modifications because I prefer a pure sports car look. |

The idea I had, and I actually wanted to ask if anyone on here did custom paint/decals for a living or maybe even a photoshop person could create my idea, was for something that would go on the fenders or the sides. As a hobby I collect swords so I was wondering, I don't want to put a sword on the side of the car, but I want a stripe that resembles a katana, however vaguely because I think having an actual sword on the car might be silly.
Feel free to tell me my idea sucks haha I'm mostly just curious. |

I want two white rally stripes down the centerline. I'm thinking they'll look great with the blue.

I probably won't do it, but about the only thing I have considered looks-wise has been a small "Fujiwara Tofu Shop" logo to put along the lower edge of the rear window. Other than that, no stickers, vinyls, or painting for me.

I'm really afraid of seeing someone go all 'Need for Speed: Underground' on this car.....
GET LOW!!!!! (personal opinion - to each his own)

Frankly most if not all exterior modification 'fads' are going to look silly sooner or later, depending on context and time. 10-15 years ago, everyone was doing that to their cars. I've seen my fair share of nice cars with full-on body kits. It's pretty much what you saw in magazines.
