Last week area Scion staffs drove BIR for a day. This is the link to some of the takes by my favorite salesman, Matthew Gilbert of Luther/Minnetonka.

Is it just me or do the Chicagoan's like creating new threads within their regional forum instead of continuing a conversation within the same thread.

Needed a GoPro-- that guy was having trouble holding the camera up when subjected to some G force. But it was enjoyable to see the FRS on my local track. I hope to see a lot more videos of FRSs on BIR.

Someone school me on non-oxy gas.

There is a station that has it near me. I used the Google machine to do a little research but it seems there are conflicting views on it. It seems wherever there is an argument to be had, there are people who will cloud the issue.

Also, I noticed the station doesnt have the pump labeled with an octane rating. Is it always 91?

= pure gasoline, no ethanol - just don't use leaded (it is available), never/ever, or you will buy new cats. There is 110 at Colony station on Washington just south of Broadway (94W exit). Without a revision to ECU program anything more than 94 is wasted money's and "could" show increased fuel ring bypass and pollute your engine oil, particularly before break in. IMO

Question Mud Guards?

Spa day for "FReSCa", and later, over coffee, someone suggested mud guards for rain/winter driving. I'm not sure - so what do you all think?

I think to each their own on that one. Personally, I don't see too much functionality for our cars.

I don't think I'll be making it to DCTC tomorrow, but good luck to those who will be competing!

I did take a queue from another thread and went out and got some new exhaust tips.

A little larger, and I love the understated black look.

See all the posts on "noises" the boxer makes? After a hard drive I propped the hood and did a slow walk around, but all I heard was a rumble suggestive of *"FIFI". Is FReSCa a wrong name choice?

I'm heading to DCTC tomorrow - cheers to running Toyobarus!

*Fuel Induction Fuel Injection

p.s. The flywheel/pulley are very good - don't change out oem just yet.

UPDATING: Now I have the chirps; but I would better describe this as CICADAS!
Anyone reads this who knows/hears the story I want to hear from you about correction.

REUPPING: Saying the idler pulley is an issue...

St Louis Park

Yo, checking in from St Louis Park, MN with a premium SWP BRZ, currently 810 miles on the odo. Looking forward to finishing up the break in his week some time and then finding some space to turn it loose. Spotted a twin today up at BIR and heard he was making laps, picking bugs out of an ever present grin. Also parked next to and chatted with a Black FR-S at the BP just outside the gate.

This car is so much freakin' fun to drive!!

Admittedly, this thread makes me really want this car even more-- seeing as how it kind of unifies people.

Alan @ayau and I successfully completed the first ever AutoX in our cars.

I have attached the results and to summarize, it was fun.

Huge thanks to @ToxicSneakers (Bruce) for supporting us and joining us for lunch at Eddie Cheng.

I felt pretty confident by the end of the runs to get my best time on the last run of the day (47.964) but the tires were plowing at that point since it was so warm. Unfortunately, my memory card was full so I didn't record that run, but I did record my 2nd fastest run and will attach the video later today. Interestingly enough, my car handled a lot better with 2 people in the car. I could really throw the throttle all the way down and it just planted.

it was a blast learning my car's limits.

as mentioned earlier by chupa, tires will be the best bang per buck upgrade for our cars.

i think i'll be signing up for that novice event next month.

" Interestingly enough, my car handled a lot better with 2 people in the car. I could really throw the throttle all the way down and it just planted." Sayeth la chupacabra (sucks goat's blood). Seriously, when your rider steers the turns AND throws the shifts it is a different course, of course. If you had just one more run I still think you would time into +42. That's a 10% improvement. Wouldn't surprise me if a wheel/tire fitment resulted in an additional 5-7% advance. You guys looked good out there and the regulars are already gunning up for next attacks. Everyone around me commented on the appeal of these rides. Yeah, we know...

The advice I was given was absolutely key to my times. I know I'd be a lot slower if Phil hadn't ridden along with me.

I'm thinking that with just tires, we'd have fallen in with the lower 40's club. At least the mid-40's.

And here is the video for your visual entertainment:
