THIS. They'll pay if you can prove:
1) the pothole is there, so take pictures
2) the car isn't lowered or otherwise "unsafe"

Second one gets a lot of people, but I've seen them pay out for wheels, exhausts, etc.

And he should hope no one involved reads his post admitting he wasn't wearing his glasses as that would void everything.

Well I'm not required to wear my glasses when driving. I'll definitely will go look at that pot hole when I get off from work. Even with glasses I think I'll still have a hard time trying to see it during the night.

There was about 600 pot hole claims and only 9 was approved /: chances seem slim.

I'm more worried about my insurance approving this claim than anything. I have been reading stories where people get denied. I got have geico accident forgiveness so I'm not too worried about my rates going up but the damages seems to be around 5k when comparing it to my mx5 unnoticeable sides wipe (got 2k for a small dent and some scratches. Not at fault, car was parked in a emptied garaged and somehow, someone managed to hit it...) I do have a 1k deductible which is something I'm worried about but as of now getting approved is my biggest worry.

okay so im having an issue with the insurance. They said that it might not get approved if i dont have any proof or evidence during that time of loss. They want physical evidence of my car getting into that accident. Any help?

Ill try to swing on by to grab a picture of it. There is a BLM protest going on around there. This is what i mention to the adjuster, on 7/8/2016 i either hit a large ditch or some object coming off from west 7th street. By the way it looked it seem as it striked the lower part of the bumper and ran its way towards to the rear quarter panel taking out the right passenger wheel with it. The more i looked at it, the damages seem to be done from a large rock since it bent the undercarriage inwards.

Maybe don't mention you didn't have your glasses on otherwise they might try and use that as an excuse to not pay you.

wait - so this may not be a pothole or ditch you're saying? i was under the impression that you stopped immediately and knew the exact cause of the damage. that's why i was wondering if pics of the pothole maybe with paint or scrape marks could be correlated to the damage to your car.

On my truck I hit a sewer drain real hard at about 45mph and my rim cracked, bent, pulled all the wheel cover [plastic thing], radiator somehow bent and right LCA bent.

Allstate covered about $500 worth of dmg, nothing on my record. No faults. Total damage was about $800. I paid $300.

I didnt mention any of that. I pretty much straight forward saying that i either hit a pothole or something that was on that street. There was 2 passenger with me as witness. The car bumped up which made all of us hit our head on the ceiling. My first thought was that the car was fine and i just ran over a pothole.

This is really hard to provide prove, if i were to call the police and file it at that time then it would of been dumb since the car seems to be fine going 20-30mph until i got on the highway going 60mph+ where the steering wheel started to shake and and misaligned by atleast 45 degrees. They said that they will have to speak to an "independent" source which doesn't make sense. Who would they contact to get answers? I understand that they are doing this for their best interest but the car does show visual from it being hit by something on the ground.

This is my first "at fault" claim ever made. The only evidence that i have is that i went to firestone complete auto care on 07/09 to get an alignment to see if that would fixed the problem.

Your wheel bearing is probably knackered too.
