Thanks! I will definitely keep them coming!

The car now has 720 miles on it. Took it down to school with me for the last 3 weeks of my summer class. Car was great, lots of looks from people, it's funny. The best one was this dude that first did a jaw-drop then gave me a huge smile and thumbs up. It was hilarious to watch. I see this stuff when I ride around in my friend's lambos and stuff, but to see it in the BRZ is really cool.

Rain in the forecast for tomorrow so I'll probably film the full tour video of the car on Wednesday.

So the car just passed break-in period last night, and man it's great to finally be able to use the whole engine. Posted a video of my first redline runs:

A few more impressions of the car. On this recent trip I drove a little over 300 miles and the mechanicals all felt a little "loose", as in not as solid as the car does on short trips. Might just be mental, but it just sounds like more things rattle under the hood if you've been driving the car a while. No driveability issues though. *shrug* Really starting to get to know the car well now, and it's been exactly one week that I've owned it. The more I drive it the more I love it. I'm always jumping at a chance to go out and drive. I've been getting 32 mpg recently, so gas is great, and with the small gas tank, fill-ups are normally 10-15 bucks less than it costs to fill up my legacy, so it's light on my wallet too.

Well some more impressions of the car: I've put over 1,500 miles on the car now. The lack of torque is something that I didn't miss, until I drove my turbo legacy again the other day, and that 250hp 3500 lb sedan felt WAY faster than the BRZ The BRZ's steering, handling and braking are still far superior, but it made me start scratching my head again about this car. Also the dead zone in the middle of the rpm range is starting to get on my nerves. My NAV is also having trouble keeping a signal. Throughout the past few months leading up the my car's arrival I was constantly tempted to buy a 2013 Mustang GT. Not saying I hate the BRZ, but I'm not 100% in love with it either. I wanna test drive a Mustang soon and see how it's handling, weight, steering and braking feel.

I would have liked to keep this car N/A but I'm fairly confident that I'll do either a turbo or supercharger next year if I decide to keep this car. I highly doubt that an intake, headers, exhaust and tune will remedy the problems I have with the car's power delivery.

Turbo won't fit in the usual spot for this motor, but with some elaborate piping solution, I think it can be done. I would be fine with a supercharger, I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that they fit.

First Redline Run in my Subaru BRZ! - YouTube
I have 950 miles on my car right now will be heading back home tomorrow on a four hour ride back from Miami....many redlines in my immediate future. I have taken some longer trips within the first 900 miles and my car feels very solid. This recent trip to Miami, the car felt very solid and begging to be opened up. I do understand the power issue in the mid range, but I'm still loving this ride and cannot wait to open it up tomorrow.

Didn't you see the Gazoo Racing twincharged GT86? That alone proves that it can be done.

Subaruwrxfan that doesn't bag on the BRZ because it isn't Turbo or AWD.

Lol +1 to you for having the patience to wait till after break-in! It's a lot of fun to take it to redline!

I still like it, but the new car "buzz" has worn off for me, so I can be more objective in my analysis of the car now. I'll hang on to it for a little and see if the exhaust/intake/headers/retune make the car better for me. It just sucks, I love everything about this car except that engine, definitely the weak point for me.

Thanks man, glad you're enjoying the videos. You'll have yours soon too. Part of the reason I'm posting all of these videos is to give those that don't own one a chance to kinda experience the car through my videos. Many more videos coming including a POV video to literally put you guys in the drivers seat.

Honeymoon over after owning for two weeks? That has to be some kind of record. Well, except for the guy that realized that he really could not afford it and the other guy with the back injury that suffers every time he drives it. Hopefully, the bolt ons will help.

You know, all things are relative. You are somewhat disappointed after driving your turbo legacy, but I'm handing down my camry hybrid to my daughter as her first car, (don't give me $hit, i needed a economical DD, as I travel a lot for work), so for me, this super handling, quick, manual BRZ is a blast. Hell if I were to compare it it to my car prior to the Camry, GMC Denali (short bed version) this thing is slow as molasses. But again all things are relative, and I'm having a blast now.

If you get all the bolt-ons they can stay on the car if you ever go SC. Other than the tune, but you may be able to get a SC-tuned flashed if the MAF has enough range (or has a map sensor add-on)
