Dubs! on an FR-S

Saw my dealer decked out their demo 6AT FR-S while I was in for service.
I am considering aftermarket wheels like many of you all, and I'm just collecting info on what fits on 86.

It is a staggered setup. 245/30R20 on the front. 255/30R20 on the rear. I have no idea what the offset of these wheels are, but overall it looks like it clears everything. Since the overall wheel diameter is greater than OEM, this car probably wasn't lowered. IMO it looks cartoonish, especially the wheel to brake ratio.

Overall view of car

Rear clearance. Looks like about 2 inches back there. (Bad picture I know)

Front Clearance. Closer than the rear but there is some gap between the wheel and the front strut

To be fair, that's about as good a result as I could have expected for 20s. Not too wide, and it's not jacked up or anything.

Still not my thing. Ride quality has to be trash, and the brakes are absolutely lost in that wheel. I don't want to even think about how much each wheel weighs.

Edit: Just did a size compare. The rear has to be around 1.5" taller than the stock wheel package. Front is 1.2" taller.

I'm sorry but this car wasn't made for that. What a shame. Extreme dislike.

Zooming in on the original photo looks like 205/30. You can make out the number at the bottom of the photo. Tire Rack doesn't even have that size, wtf...

They are 255/30s. They certainly look like 205s though.

In all seriousness, that's one hell of an optical illusion if they are 255s.

"Scion is so fresh and original and unique, bro! They're different, and they hafta stand out!"

This is the marketing crap that Scion dealers are fed, so no doubt they took the formula that worked for selling xB's and tC's and applied it to the FR-S. Why do you think I wanted this car badged as a g#%d@mn TOYOTA??!!

We should call and complain that they let 'underdeveloped adults' put wheels on this car.

Those wheels are Fugly, if someone here on the forum is considering 20's or chrome wheels for any size, GTFO and hand over their cars to someone who will do it right with proper tuner wheels.
