Did you read it or just look at the pic? That is a 16 with the 17 parts bolted on. Of course the engine looks the same. It is the same.

Interesting they used to perform this same sort of engine improvements with similar gains for their older limited editions like S203 and S204.

That's exactly my f***ing point... The person who posted it wasn't even trying. Didn't even bother to look at the photo.

How different should it look besides some stinkin' aluminum intake runners? Unless it also comes with an Alcoa Aluminum sticker that gives 20hp.

I went from Sustina 0W-20 to 0W-50 and I can't tell a difference either when I rev it upto redline.

It reads as if Subaru wasn't even trying not that you were referencing the picture or the poster.
Good that you knew what you mean. We didn't.

Most likely added at port like the RS series body kits and such. I have no clue how accurate but somebody once said it has something to do with import regulations and the car meeting certain specs when shipped.

Understood, but I only use OEM parts on mine.

Don't know if you will see this in time - but ask him if Subaru (or Toyota for that matter) has scheduled a fly-and-drive session for journalists to drive the updated car, hopefully with the current version available for comparison.

Running such an event would be a real demonstration of Subaru's confidence in its claims re: significant changes in the way the car rides and handles.

Is there a running list somewhere of the potential questions to be asked?

My question would be if there is a reason for the extended time table with the Performance Package? Potential 6-month delay for wheels, brakes and shocks seems excessive on the surface considering the sales volume.

My guess (educated based on industry experience) is that the delay is more of a marketing call than a parts or assembly issue. It isn't like they just decided to do this yesterday and the plans will have been in the works for 2 or 3 years. If they wanted to release it sooner they would have.
Now on exactly why they would decide to wait, I have no clue.

I don't think he would be able to answer that, remember he's an enthusiast like us he however had the chance to help with design elements and is prolly still involved and more on Toyota side . The decision for the things you're asking about are strictly Subaru decisions. I don't mind asking that next time I meet with SOA marketing/PR if they're feeling like talking to me about it.
