Not surprised at all with these markups hence patience is a virtue indeed.

New Focus in 2018 also, so it will be a short run. I'd guess 10k cars in the US though which isn't really limited IMO but more limited than your average car.
That would be if the RS model doesn't persist for a few more years as a special performance edition or some shit like that (I assume that could always be a possibility)

Lol I'd rather be a douche in a Vette than a flat brim in an RS. Honestly the worst part about owning the WRX is the other owners and stigma that comes along with it...

Well at least you went with that Subaru stereotype.

Could have went with the other.

I really don't see that happening. They currently build them on the standard line and then take them off the line to modify bits so that they don't fail the automated QA process (bumpers, etc). If they didn't want to spend the money loading in more data points and profiles for that then I really don't see them leaving the old line running just for the RS while still doing all of that manual work at the end.

Also, Ford has never done so before with an RS. This is the first to hit America and be "global" but the other recent ones were fairly global also, just not the US.

Don't forget to stack your subi lyfe badges over the WRX badge!

I see you're from FL and race Integras. Any chance you might know Cliff Ira??? He's the brother of a buddy and did pretty well in his Integra at the runoffs a few years ago.
Oh there's no way I'd buy a Focus ST. IMO the Fiesta ST is a superior car.

With the exception of the seats (height wise, although the US ones aren't as bad as the Euro shell seats I hear) everything that I really disliked about the ST has either been modified or is completely different on the RS so I'm hoping for the best. Pedal placement kinda sucks too though.

I knew a Cliff that raced an ITA CRX about 16 years ago. He went to a 240 turbo and was just doing DEs and instructing then. I don't recall his last name and haven't seen him in... 8 or 10 years. We run our Integra in ChumpCar not SCCA (or whoever else uses the term runoffs - I've only ever been involved with SCCA, LeMons and CCWS).

That makes a ton of sense (didn't know about those aspects as I haven't kept up much with the development of these)

Oh no worries I have overlays on overlays. My whole car is a giant overlay actually! I figure why not make it look as tacky as possible?

It was SCCA ,, he was National Champion 2014. The family is out of Jacksonville,, my buddy was E-Prod champion twice in a 240Z. Must be in the blood.
