how about springs that raise the car about an inch and have a softer rate?
i wouldn't mind paying 300 or so bucks for a set of springs i can throw on in the winter rather than 3000 coilovers.

I don't know why'd you want to do this, stock the car has plenty of ground clearance for winter. BUT you don't need different springs to go taller, just some 1" poly spring spacers... The 4X4 world has been doing this for decades to level out vehicles and even gain some extra lift. I think you can even get spacers like this for some Subaru cars with "saggy but syndrome."

I don't know there is much info out there about this type of thing yet, but, what about more racing oriented coils like Penske or Motoul?

Hehe... yeah, plenty might be pushing it, but I am pretty amazed that I haven't yet scraped that long front nose on a driveway yet. It sticks WAY out there and there is enough ground clearance to keep it from painting driveways metallic gray.

Cool. I have the Eibach springs, BR Racing coilovers and KW V3 coilovers on the way, so I should be able to verify the specs on those, too.

How about a few lines for the stock FRS/BRZ spring rates and a review of the stock setup and why would people be spending 2+K for coil overs with a brand new car.
I guess already the shocks/struts being twintube are at disadvantage and inexpensive are for the OEM to keep cost down. -sz |

The spring rates for the Tein S Tech's are really strange. Why go stiffer front softer back? Those sound like typical drift setup spring rates for an AE86 style setup. I dunno if changing the spring rates that differently from the stocks ratios is a wise plan.

Tein H Tech rates are backwards, according to here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7240
Also has rates for the rest of the Tein offerings.
